Coca-Cola is encouraging consumers to put their screens aside and reconnect over shared meals in a new global campaign titled "The world will wait".
Launching globally from 3 August, the integrated campaign targets Gen Z and millennials, urging them to prioritise meaningful moments with friends and family over the constant demands of work, notifications and everyday distractions.
Built around the insight that younger consumers increasingly crave genuine human connection despite busy schedules, the campaign positions Coca-Cola as a companion to shared meal occasions.

According to the brand, "The world will wait" seeks to challenge the idea that urgent tasks should always take precedence, instead encouraging consumers to pause and embrace moments around the table.
As part of the campaign, Coca-Cola has rolled out two hero films, Laptop face and The most important meeting, depicting everyday scenarios in which people choose to step away from pressing obligations to share a meal with loved ones.
Beyond film, the campaign extends across influencer, digital and out-of-home (OOH) channels. Building on the gaming term "AFK" (Away from keyboard), Coca-Cola is partnering with influencers to encourage audiences to unplug from their devices and spend quality time over a meal.
Meanwhile, OOH and digital executions juxtapose everyday responsibilities with the joy of eating together through copy such as "Laundry can wait. Fried Chicken & Coca-Cola can't" and "No one ever said 'this meal could have been an email.'" Digital activations will also allow consumers to unlock rewards while encouraging shared dining experiences.
"In a world that constantly demands our attention, we've observed a growing tension among our consumers, especially younger generations, who truly desire genuine connection but often feel overwhelmed by the urgent pressures of daily life," said Arnab Roy, vice president, marketing, Coca-Cola.
"'The World Will Wait' is designed to inspire us and remind everyone that some moments are simply too important to postpone. We want to rekindle the joy of shared meals, positioning Coca-Cola as the perfect companion that brings people together," Roy added.
The campaign comes shortly after Coca-Cola unveiled a new global visual identity system designed to create greater consistency across its marketing, packaging and consumer experiences in more than 200 markets.
Rolling out across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, the refreshed system places greater emphasis on the brand's signature visual assets while introducing AI-powered design tools to help internal teams and agency partners maintain brand consistency across global markets.
