



We Are Social regional head of strategy and growth departs

We Are Social’s James Honda-Pinder (pictured) has stepped down from his role as regional head of strategy and growth.
In a statement to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, We Are Social said Honda-Pinder has left the business to pursue other opportunities.
Honda-Pinder joined the socially-led creative agency in March 2022 as head of strategy in Singapore, later taking on the regional role, splitting his time between Singapore and Japan.

Before joining We Are Social, he spent six years at Iris, progressing from senior strategic planner to planning director and finally head of strategy. He also held strategic planning roles at TBWA\Media Arts Lab in London and Los Angeles, according to his LinkedIn profile.
During his time at We Are Social, Honda-Pinder played a part in launching the agency’s innovation arm, .XYZ. First launched in 2021, .XYZ is a specialist division focused on future brand strategy and innovation, exploring opportunities in Web3 and emerging technologies.
The .XYZ team brings together 30 creatives, strategists and creative technologists from across the agency’s global networkIt is also expanding its. It is also expanding its offerings in future strategy, creative innovation and virtual production, embedding cutting-edge work across the agency’s client portfolio.
This change in leadership comes as We Are Social Singapore recently promoted Daniel Foo to executive creative director.
Foo, who joined the agency in 2024, leads the creative department and focuses on building the agency’s socially-led creative output. His appointment underscores We Are Social’s continued drive to blend strategic rigour with creative innovation across its regional operations.
