Ogilvy One and Verticurl's Hong Kong country head Nathan Petralia (pictured) has departed the agency, as confirmed to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

Petralia joined Ogilvy One in 2025 with a mandate to drive market growth by deepening existing client relationships and securing new business. His leadership focused on digital transformation, specifically within customer experience (CX), data analytics, and omnichannel marketing strategies.

Prior to his tenure at Ogilvy, Petralia served as the product lead at buy.social, where he spearheaded the product strategy and operational rollout of the AI-powered social commerce platform.

His extensive background in the Hong Kong agency landscape also includes a stint as the managing director of Merkle Hong Kong. During his time there, he was credited with delivering complex omnichannel strategies and implementing innovative technologies to drive sustainable revenue growth for the firm.

Petralia’s departure comes amidst significant structural changes within the wider WPP group. According to the Financial Times, WPP is reportedly consolidating its three primary creative networks - Ogilvy, VML, and AKQA - under a single banner titled WPP Creative.

While the three agencies will retain their individual branding and continue to operate independently, the move is designed to simplify WPP’s offerings and provide clients with more integrated services. WPP Creative will sit alongside WPP Production, the group’s recently launched integrated media and production arm.

The move also follows the launch of WPP's "Elevate28" strategy in February 2026, which involves restructuring into four core units including creative, production, media, and enterprise to drive US$676 million in cost savings by 2028. This plan includes job cuts to eliminate duplicate roles and streamline operations amid a shift toward AI.
