KFC Singapore is extending its brand beyond the dining table with the launch of "KFC Swags", a new lifestyle merchandise collection aimed at turning fans into everyday brand ambassadors.
The move sees the fast-food chain venture further into lifestyle merchandising with a five-piece capsule collection featuring apparel, drinkware and accessories inspired by KFC's signature branding and its iconic "Finger lickin' good" tagline.
In conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Jaslyn Lam, director of marketing and food innovation at KFC Singapore, said the collection is intended to strengthen the brand's presence beyond its restaurants by creating new ways for consumers to engage with KFC in their everyday lives.

She added that, together with KFC's dedicated online merchandise store and selected in-store retail experiences, the initiative reflects the brand's evolution into a lifestyle experience while reinforcing the fun, bold and iconic personality KFC is known for.
The collection is primarily targeted at younger consumers, who increasingly gravitate towards brands that reflect their personalities and lifestyles. By offering products that can be worn, carried and used daily, KFC hopes to create conversation starters that turn customers into brand advocates beyond the dining occasion.
Leading the collection is the Finger lickin' good jacket, a lightweight cream-coloured jacket featuring understated KFC-inspired design details. The range also includes the original red tumbler, utility phone lanyard, drumstick plushie and bucket bag, which reimagines KFC's iconic chicken bucket as an everyday accessory.

According to Lam, the initiative is first and foremost a brand-building exercise, with success measured through consumer excitement, campaign conversations, influencer participation and the ability to attract new fans into KFC's ecosystem.
Looking ahead, Lam said "KFC Swags" will become an ongoing platform supported by limited-edition launches and potential collaborations:
"Ultimately, our ambition is for 'KFC Swags' to become a recognised extension of the KFC brand — one that keeps fans excited, creates cultural relevance and gives consumers new reasons to engage with KFC beyond our restaurants."
The collection will launch on 1 August and will be available exclusively at KFC Kallang as well as through KFC Singapore's new merchandise website.
The launch comes after KFC Singapore leaned into experiential marketing with its first-ever dry rave to promote its Nashville Chicken range. Held at KFC HarbourFront in partnership with Beans & Beats, the one-night-only activation featured Y2K R&B and hip-hop music, free-flow Nashville Chicken bites, criss-cut fries, pickles and non-alcoholic drinks, alongside exclusive KFC pickle shirts for attendees.
At the time, Jaslyn Lam, director of marketing and food innovation at KFC Singapore, said the activation was designed to bring the product's personality to life in a way that would resonate with younger audiences.
