Global marketing and communications firm FINN Partners has promoted Jason Cao (pictured) to managing partner for FINN China.

Since joining FINN Partners, which established its Beijing office in 2022, Cao has expanded the agency's presence and capabilities in Greater China, building a multi-dimensional practice spanning healthcare, technology, consumer packaged goods, corporate communications and international market expansion services, according to the release.

Cao has leveraged his industry relationships and deep market expertise to enhance FINN's global capabilities with local market insights, creating tangible results for international clients operating in China and Chinese enterprises expanding overseas.

Under Cao's leadership, FINN China has secured significant major client wins across key industry sectors. The agency now serves as a key partner to brands such as Novo Nordisk, L'Oréal Group, Merck, IEEE, Aveva, and Invisalign. Cao combined his experience in the China market with FINN's global capabilities to establish a differentiated brand that enables FINN to provide deep, comprehensive value to international clients in China, leveraging the broad vision and resource strengths of a global agency with the efficient and flexible operations that eliminate geographical and business unit barriers.

Recently, the office collaborated with FINN's European healthcare team to organise and implement workshops for Chinese pharmaceutical companies expanding overseas, helping them gain a comprehensive understanding of market access, policy insights and marketing environments in Europe. These efforts have had a widespread impact within China's pharmaceutical industry and further strengthened FINN global healthcare's competitive advantages in the Asia market.

Howard Solomon, founding managing partner at FINN Partners who oversees West Coast and Asia Pacific operations, said: "Cao embodies everything that makes FINN Partners special – he's unfailingly positive, collaborative and uplifting, and he has an entrepreneurial spirit that has transformed our presence in one of the world's most important markets.”

"Under his leadership, our Beijing office has grown into a comprehensive communications powerhouse serving global brands and Chinese enterprises alike. His promotion to managing partner reflects both his exceptional contributions and our continued commitment to the Greater China market,” Solomon added.

"Today, the communication consulting industry in China has entered an era of 'value first,'. Chinese enterprises in need of professional communications support have increasingly been paying less attention to an agency's size and rankings, and instead focusing more on the value that PR can deliver, as well as the broad vision, deep insights and experience of the specific service provider,” Cao said.

“FINN's unique positioning and its truly global integrated capabilities enable us to win market recognition through our expertise and professionalism. FINN loves to be a pioneer in the industry and keeps creating more possibilities in China,” he added.
