Hong Kong shopping mall Festival Walk has appointed The Bread Digital as its social media agency following a competitive pitch, with the appointment set for a 12-month tenure, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE understands.

Officially launched in April 2026, the partnership tasks The Bread Digital with repositioning Festival Walk’s social media identity. The agency is responsible for developing trend-driven, inspiring content tailored to the mall’s diverse demographic.

The Bread Digital secured the account following an open pitch held just before the Lunar New Year. The brief focused on three core pillars: strategic repositioning to reimagine the mall's persona within the social media landscape; content innovation to deliver "always-on," up-to-the-minute content; and community engagement to bridge the gap between digital discovery and physical foot traffic.

The upcoming social strategy aims to mirror the vibrant, high-energy atmosphere of the mall itself. Beyond "surprise-and-delight" posts, the agency’s vision is to create sustainable content cycles that translate social media trends into real-life experiences. By fostering deeper online engagement, The Bread Digital aims to funnel digital energy back into the physical retail environment.

While The Bread Digital has begun managing Festival Walk's social media accounts, it has already created a variety of creative Instagram posts to engage followers and promote the mall's merchants. For instance, one post used the weather to illustrate how coffee has become a daily ritual—and that a "good day" might simply be that moment when people sip a flavour that matches their mood.
