Timothy Li (pictured), a seasoned figure in Hong Kong’s creative scene, has departed from The Right Side to join Dentsu Hong Kong as executive creative director, MARKETING-INTERACTIVE understands.

Reporting to Jeffry Gamble, chief creative officer at Dentsu International, Li will be responsible for overseeing the agency’s creative output in the Hong Kong market.

The newly created role aims to strengthen Dentsu’s creative capabilities, particularly in delivering sharper, more locally resonant social ideas. With a wealth of experience across prominent local agencies, Li is well-positioned to elevate the agency’s creative offerings.

Before joining Dentsu, Li held senior creative roles at agencies including DDB, Cheil, and Havas. Most recently, he served as group creative director at The Right Side.

The appointment comes after Dentsu appointed Yuichi Toyoda as CEO of Dentsu Asia Pacific. He will also join the group executive management team, reporting to Hiroshi Igarashi, dentsu’s president and global CEO.

Toyoda currently serves as global practice president for business transformation and BX president at Dentsu Japan, as well as managing executive officer at Dentsu Inc. With more than 30 years at the company, including leadership roles in India, Thailand and China, he has overseen major turnarounds across international markets.

In addition to these senior appointments, Dentsu APAC has launched Zoyumi, its proprietary AI-powered platform designed to revolutionise always-on digital campaign execution. Built to deliver precision, scale, and speed in both content creation and production, Zoyumi consolidates core functions—content scoring, creative production, and performance tracking—within a single, fully API-integrated SaaS platform.

Zoyumi empowers brands to optimise content relevance and gain real-time performance insights. Custom dashboards offer clear visibility and faster decision-making, enabling greater accountability and effectiveness in always-on campaigns.
