Borneo Motors Singapore has appointed Access Communications as its public relations agency following a competitive pitch.

The appointment runs through March 2026 and covers strategic communications for the company’s 100th anniversary and key brand campaigns across Toyota and Lexus.

As part of the remit, Access Communications will also support Champion Motors’ 50th anniversary, developing communications that spotlight Suzuki’s heritage and forward-facing ambitions.

The appointment marks Access Communications’ entry into the automotive space and follows a series of recent client wins across consumer, government and lifestyle sectors.

"This appointment underscores our agency’s continued growth and proven expertise in delivering strategic, results-driven communication solutions across diverse industries," said Access Communications in a statement.

Borneo Motors is part of the Inchcape Group and represents some of Singapore’s best-known car brands. Its centennial celebrations, dubbed BMS100, will spotlight the group’s innovation and growth across decades, with a series of brand-led initiatives planned through 2025.

The move reflects growing momentum in the region’s automotive marketing space, as other brands also double down on creative and branding investments.

Meanwhile, Toyota Motor Asia Pacific appointed Virtue APAC to lead a regional brand campaign under its “Move your world” platform in January 2024, while Suzuki Indonesia handed creative duties to Moonfolks following a multi-agency pitch in July of the same year.
