The wait is over — the official finalists for MARKETING-INTERACTIVE’s Hashtag Asia Awards 2025 have been unveiled.
Now in its fourth year, the Hashtag Asia Awards continue to celebrate the region’s most inventive and influential voices in social media—from visionary brands and agencies to content creators who are shaping conversations across platforms.
This year’s programme encompasses 38 enterable categories, including three new additions designed to reflect the latest shifts in the digital space: 'Best Social Media Campaign for a Specific Audience', 'Best Use of AI', and 'Best Use of Tribal Marketing'.
Finalists across all categories are also in contention for our top accolades—the 'Overall Agency HashMaster' and 'Overall Brand HashMaster' titles.
The submissions were meticulously evaluated by a distinguished panel of 24 senior marketing and communications professionals from across Asia, who brought profound industry knowledge and regional insights to the judging process.
Angela Tan, group head of communications at Vena Energy, commended the depth of audience understanding demonstrated by the campaigns. “What really stood out was how much effort went into understanding the audience and creating shared experiences. The entries showed a real understanding of what strikes a chord with people, making each channel work to tell a story that felt real and relatable,” she said.
Emphasising on the emotional resonance of the work, she added: “In a world full of noise, it’s the campaigns that connect on a deeper level with their audience that truly stand out. The emotional storytelling and authenticity in these campaigns have the power to inspire change and make us think about our own journeys.”
Meanwhile, Sarah Elizabeth Foo, director of marketing and community at Anytime Fitness, was impressed by the strategic rigour behind this year’s entries. “The quality of entries was incredibly impressive — each one offered a compelling glimpse into the thought, creativity, and strategic rigor behind today’s most impactful social media campaigns,” she said.
“It was not only insightful to see what’s resonating with audiences right now but also a great learning experience in understanding the trends that drive measurable success," added Foo.
In addition, Jamie Tan, director of marketing at Trust Bank Singapore, praised the creativity and dedication evident in the submissions. “The entries showed the dedicated efforts from brands around the region, and it is very encouraging to see different talents from varied industries come together to showcase their creativity through social media marketing,” she said.
Denise Teo, founder and managing director of SUPERCATKEI, reflected on the diversity of campaign approaches this year. “This year’s entries showcased a fearless exploration of the different ways to relate to evolving target segments. From integrating long-standing cultural practices to the latest viral memes, marketers pushed creative boundaries to engage and captivate,” she said.
“While the approach was experimental, most campaigns remained rooted in core fundamentals: connecting the right message to the right audience in a way that drives action," added Teo.
The winners of the fourth annual Hashtag Asia Awards 2025 will be announced at a live gala dinner and celebration in Singapore on 13 June 2025 at the Sofitel Singapore City Centre.
