ZALORA's head of corporate communications Christopher Daguimol has stepped down after nearly 11 years with the eCommerce company.
Daguimol joined ZALORA in its second year, helping to build the communications department from the ground up and establishing protocols that underpin the group’s communications today. He later served as group head of brand communications from 2014 to 2019, before taking on the corporate communications remit within the strategy team from 2020 to 2025 - a move that followed parent company Global Fashion Group’s listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
During his time at ZALORA, Daguimol led several key initiatives that helped shape the brand’s regional profile. These include building both the brand and corporate communications functions, implementing KPIs for PR and social teams, and launching the ZALORA influencer programme in 2019.

He also championed talent through projects such as the ZALORA style awards, and Make me a ZALORA model, and generated regional insights through initiatives such as the ZALORA trender report and the ZALORA podcast.
In 2019, he conceptualised and executed the ZALORA fashion festival, which blended online and offline experiences and drove over 1 million social media interactions and a 28% lift in brand page views for participating labels. He also led media campaigns for ZALORA's pop-up stores between 2014 and 2018.
Other milestones include consolidating the group’s social strategy, launching ZALORA’s TikTok handle during the 2019 fashion festival, leading the original series Style me now with NBC Universal, and securing high-profile collaborations with Jessica Jung and Jason Wu. Daguimol also held the dual role of head of communications for ZALORA and Global Fashion Group from 2016 to 2018.
Prior to his time at ZALORA, Daguimol lead communications and public relations as a cluster manager at Sofitel and took on various roles across agencies Ogilvy and Word of Mouth Communications, working with brands in luxury and fashion such as Louis Vuitton, Swarovski and Longines.
“ZALORA will forever hold a special place in my heart. I've spent my entire 30s contributing to the growth of one of Southeast Asia's most successful eCommerce players. More importantly, I've had the privilege of working alongside incredibly talented individuals, many of whom are now leading their own ventures," said Daguimol.
"This journey has allowed me to experience the full spectrum of the communications function, building everything from the ground up – a truly unique and invaluable opportunity to apply my knowledge and mentor the next generation of communications professionals," he added.
Daguimol added that he is leaving the company in the hands of a dedicated team, many of whom have been with him for over five years.
“After nearly 11 transformative years at ZALORA, I am stepping down with immense pride in what we have collectively achieved in building a leading eCommerce communications function in Southeast Asia. From establishing foundational protocols to spearheading award-winning campaigns and fostering regional talent" said Daguimol.
"It has been a privilege to contribute to ZALORA's remarkable journey. I am confident in the continued success of the talented team I leave behind and look forward to witnessing ZALORA's future triumphs from a new vantage point," he added.
Meanwhile, earlier in January this year, ZALORA's group chief revenue and marketing officer Achint Setia stepped down from his role to pursue opportunities in the tech space in India.
During his time as chief revenue and marketing officer, Setia headed the ZALORA business in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He spearheaded numerous campaigns aimed at strengthening the ZALORA brand in the Southeast Asia region and grow business profitability of the group. As CMO, he led the marketing and ad sales functions for the group across SEA including Indonesia and Philippines.
