Visa has named Meble Tin as head of marketing for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, bringing more than two decades of brand and customer marketing experience to a region central to the company’s growth strategy.

Tin joins from Airbnb, where she led marketing for Asia Pacific, and previously held senior global marketing roles at Apple. At Apple, she oversaw the award-winning ‘Today at Apple’ retail experience program across more than 500 stores worldwide, earning Grand Prix and Titanium honours at Cannes Lions.

In her new role, Tin will lead Visa’s brand, client and consumer engagement agenda across Oceania, while scaling the company’s marketing services capabilities for banks, fintechs and merchants.

Alan Machet, Visa group country manager for Oceania, said Tin brings “a unique blend of global brand-building expertise and regional market insight” that will sharpen how Visa shows up as both a brand and marketing partner.

Danielle Jin, Visa’s regional head of marketing for Asia Pacific, said Tin has an instinct for turning complex technology into compelling customer narratives. "That’s a powerful asset not just for Visa’s brand, but for the value we deliver to our clients across the region,” she said.

Tin said Visa is a brand that touches every part of daily life – and that’s what excites her coming into the new role. "As digital commerce continues to evolve, we have an opportunity to help businesses grow by combining innovation with insight, and creativity with local connection.”

Tin will be based in Sydney and officially joins Visa on 2 September.
