Tiger Beer takes National Day celebrations beyond the parade

Tiger Beer takes National Day celebrations beyond the parade

Tiger Beer is bringing National Day celebrations closer to Singaporeans through a series of experiential activations spanning iconic landmarks, riverside venues and heartland communities, as the homegrown beer brand doubles down on local culture and shared experiences.

Anchored by the campaign "Born in Singapore. Chosen worldwide.", the initiative sees Tiger transform multiple locations across the island into celebration hubs, from a waterfront gathering at Kampung Bugis to exclusive experiences aboard the Singapore Flyer and bumboat cruises.

According to Tiger Beer, the campaign aims to create more opportunities for Singaporeans to celebrate together while reinforcing the brand's local roots. It also reflects a broader shift towards experience-led marketing, with community events, live entertainment and local collaborations forming the centrepiece of the National Day campaign.

The campaign's flagship activation takes place at Kampung Bugis on 9 August, where visitors can gather along the Kallang Basin to watch the National Day fireworks. Beyond the waterfront setting, the event will feature a live vinyl DJ set by Singapore duo HeavyItch, themed photo opportunities and community activities designed to create a festival atmosphere.

Tiger is also extending the celebrations beyond the city centre through several destination-led experiences. These include a branded bumboat cruise along the Singapore River into the Kallang Basin for fireworks viewing, as well as private Tiger-themed capsules aboard the Singapore Flyer offering panoramic views of the skyline during the celebrations.

Meanwhile, the brand is bringing the festivities into the heartlands with a community watch party at Sengkang Grand Mall, where residents can gather to watch a live screening of the National Day Parade.

The campaign also includes a collaboration with Singapore illustrator Jon T, who has created a limited-edition travel-themed merchandise collection inspired by Tiger's journey from Singapore to the world stage. The collaboration highlights local creative talent while reinforcing the campaign's "Born in Singapore. Chosen worldwide." positioning.

Alongside the experiential activations, Tiger is offering complimentary beer redemptions at selected National Day events, participating bars and restaurants, and major supermarkets across Singapore as part of the celebrations. Details for the exclusive bumboat and Singapore Flyer experiences will be released via Tiger Beer Singapore's Instagram page ahead of National Day.

“Tiger has always been Singapore’s beer, shared across generations. This National Day, we’re proud to bring the festivities closer to communities across the island. Through local collaborations and experiences, we’re creating more opportunities for people to connect, celebrate what makes Singapore special, and raise a toast to the courage to go beyond, together,” said Tanya Lubis, marketing manager, Tiger Beer.

The National Day campaign also builds on Tiger Beer's broader efforts to reinforce its Singaporean heritage. Earlier in June, the brand staged a blind taste test at Guoco Tower, where more than 250 Singaporeans sampled unlabelled pours that were all revealed to be Tiger Beer.

Designed to demonstrate that "great beer should speak for itself", the activation highlighted Tiger's international award-winning credentials while celebrating its journey from a Singapore-born brand to one enjoyed in more than 60 markets. The campaign saw 86% of participants say they felt proud that a Singapore-born beer is recognised globally, reinforcing the "Born in Singapore. Chosen Worldwide." platform that underpins its National Day activations.
