Taboola has expanded its presence in Asia Pacific with the appointment of Shivani Pant as regional publisher director, APAC, as the company accelerates growth in key markets including Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

The newly created role will see Pant lead publisher relationships across the region, aligning Taboola’s offering in what the company describes as a “pivotal” growth area for its global business.

Pant, based in Sydney, has been with Taboola for nearly eight years and was previously director of publisher partnerships for Australia and New Zealand. She brings close to 15 years’ experience in digital media, with a track record across markets including Japan, Thailand, China and India. She will now be tasked with driving growth and consistency across the region’s publisher portfolio.

The appointment comes as Taboola reports strong momentum in APAC. The company recently launched Realize, a new performance platform that expands beyond its native advertising roots by focusing exclusively on outcomes beyond search and social. It combines Taboola’s data, AI, and inventory scale to help advertisers achieve performance goals.

In Australia and New Zealand, Taboola has extended its exclusive partnership with Sky News Australia through a five-year renewal, and signed a six-year agreement with New Zealand’s Otago Daily Times – the longest renewal in the company’s ANZ portfolio.

Her new role is effective immediately.
