StarHub is in the midst of a media agency pitch and MARKETING-INTERACTIVE understands that the length of the appointment is approximately two years.

The incumbent on the account is WPP Media’s Mindshare which was appointed in 2022.

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE understands that several of the holding company agencies are involved in the pitch.

Mindshare was appointed StarHub’s media agency after six years with Carat. Carat first won the account in 2016, after StarHub initially parted ways with Mindshare after working with them since 2009.

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to StarHub for a statement.

Most recently, Johan Buse, chief of consumer business group at StarHub left the company to take on a CEO role with Banglalink. He brought 19 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, having worked across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

He previously served as Ooredoo’s chief commercial officer, overseeing marketing, sales, and customer experience for mobile, fixed, and new businesse

In the interim, StarHub CEO Nikhil Eapen will oversee the consumer business group, supported by key members of the executive committee.

During his departure, a spokesperson told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that Buse’s contributions have been instrumental in solidifying StarHub’s leadership in broadband and entertainment and reinforcing its strong market position in mobile.
