



So Drama! Entertainment rebrands CAMOKAKIS app to Kakee

So Drama! Entertainment has officially rebranded its entertainment and lifestyle app CAMOKAKIS to Kakee, marking a bold shift in its digital strategy. The new app went live on 6 June 2025 on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, with a public launch event slated for 26 to 29 June at Plaza Singapura.
Positioned as “your rewards and entertainment buddy,” Kakee blends lifestyle content with gamified interactivity. The name is a nod to local slang, where “kaki” means close friend, and a reference to “kaki lang”, meaning “one of us” in Hokkien.
Users are rewarded simply for engaging with the app whether it is streaming music, watching videos, or playing games. Each interaction earns them 'Koins', a digital currency that can be redeemed for prizes, event access and contest entries.

Kakee’s content is built around four pillars including 'Listen', 'Watch'. 'Play' and 'Lobangs'.
'Listen' features 24/7 music streams and live DJ sessions from radio stations Power 98 and 88.3Jia. 'Watch' features original video series spanning lifestyle, travel, current affairs and micro-dramas. It also includes short-form clips called "Kakee on the move".
Meanwhile, 'Play' features mobile games designed to entertain and challenge and 'Lobangs' is a dedicated rewards hub for contests, giveaways and event redemptions.
Kakee also marks So Drama! Entertainment’s push towards a fully digital future. From now until October 2025, FM broadcasts and simulcasts from Power 98 and 88.3 Jiawill continue, after which both will cease. Listeners can continue accessing both stations via Kakee’s streaming service, reflecting broader shifts in consumer demand for mobile-first, on-demand content.
“To be relevant in today’s fast-evolving media landscape, we have to meet our audiences where they are — on their phones, on the move, and looking for meaningful entertainment that adds value,” a spokesperson for So Drama! Entertainment said.
To celebrate the launch, So Drama! Entertainment will host a four-day event at Plaza Singapura, featuring live DJ appearances, performances by the Music & Drama Company, interactive booths, and the "Kakee Konvoy", a truck-stage hybrid where DJs will engage fans with games and giveaways.
With its refreshed look, locally inspired brand identity, and rewards-driven ecosystem, Kakee aims to turn everyday moments into meaningful, entertaining connections.
The rebranded app comes after the media and entertainment company underwent a brand overhaul with a new look and talent. The brand refresh is kicked off with a new logo, website and brand film.
The rebrand also comes post the formation of the creative innovation department, led by new hire deputy director, Chris Leow, to drive the creative ideation and social engagement capabilities of the wider creative and content team headed by director, Susanna Kulatissa.
So Drama! has also launched a rebranded corporate website, designed to reflect its energetic, bold, and forward-thinking identity. The revamped website highlights the company’s latest projects, talent, and capabilities, serving as a dynamic platform for audiences to explore So Drama!’s offerings and reinforcing the company’s commitment to purpose-driven content and storytelling.
