Shanghai Commercial Bank (Shacom Bank) has unveiled a brand-new customer story series that leverages innovative AI imaging and storytelling technologies to showcase the journeys of its long-standing corporate clients.
Under the theme "From Hong Kong to Shanghai, connecting the world," the series features candid interviews between Shacom Bank's senior leadership and prominent business leaders across various industries. Featured clients include Irene Lee, chairman of Hysan Development; Vincent H. S. Lo, chairman of Shui On Group, alongside Adrian Lo, deputy chief executive officer of SOCAM Development; Kuok Hoi Sang, chairman of Chevalier Group; and Ian Ng, chairman of Ian Group.
Through these personal accounts, the short-film series explores the opportunities and challenges enterprises face at different growth stages, highlighting how Shacom Bank supports local businesses as they scale regionally and globally through flexible, forward-looking financial solutions.
Rather than relying on traditional testimonials, the bank is using AI technology to blend footage of client interviews with dynamic, AI-reconstructed visuals of iconic landmarks across different eras and geographies. This visual approach illustrates each client's history of growth, transformation, and overseas expansion.
Eva Leung, chief of corporate communications and marketing of Shanghai Commercial Bank stated that, "Through candid, heart-to-heart conversations between our senior leadership and our valued customers, this initiative goes beyond business milestones to reveal the vision, resilience, and ambition behind each success story."
"With AI technology bringing iconic landmarks of the past and present to life across different geographies, we are introducing a new dimension of storytelling — one that vividly illustrates transformation, celebrates partnership, and connects our customers’ journeys with the evolving story of Hong Kong enterprise," Leung added.
The video series rolls out sequentially starting today across Shacom Bank’s official website, social media channels, and digital platforms. The episodes cover core themes including corporate succession, business transformation, brand building, investment insights, and cross-border expansion.
Looking ahead, Shacom Bank said it aims to reinforce its core service philosophy of "For personalised service" while highlighting its ongoing investments in fintech and digital innovation across corporate, retail, and wealth management segments.
