SAP has announced two strategic leadership appointments aimed at accelerating growth across Indonesia and Southeast Asia, reinforcing the enterprise software giant’s commitment to supporting organisations as they scale cloud and AI adoption.

The appointments place Indonesia firmly at the centre of SAP’s regional growth strategy, as the country’s digital economy continues to expand rapidly and enterprises step up investments in data-driven transformation.

Sianto Wongjoyo (pictured, left) has joined SAP as managing director for Indonesia, bringing more than 25 years of leadership experience across technology and business transformation. In his new role, Wongjoyo will oversee SAP’s strategy, operations and customer success in Indonesia, with a focus on helping local businesses grow and scale through cloud, data and AI innovation.

He will also be responsible for advancing SAP’s data- and AI-led agenda in the country, working closely with SAP’s partner ecosystem to deliver end-to-end digital transformation for customers across industries.

“Indonesia’s digital economy is one of the fastest-growing in Southeast Asia, and I am excited to bring my experience to lead SAP Indonesia during a pivotal moment in the adoption of AI and cloud technologies. I look forward to helping Indonesian customers leverage the latest innovations to drive meaningful business transformations,” said Wongjoyo.

Alongside the Indonesia appointment, SAP has named Saket Ranjan (pictured, right) as head of corporate for Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, Ranjan will lead SAP’s corporate segment across the region, which serves upper mid-market and large enterprise customers that require scalable, enterprise-grade solutions supported by SAP’s partner ecosystem.

With nearly two decades of experience in scaling business application portfolios and building high-performing teams, Ranjan will focus on driving customer success across Southeast Asia, particularly by accelerating digital transformation and AI adoption among corporate clients.

“I am thrilled to join SAP, an organisation that has the technology, expertise, and footprint to support customers in achieving tangible business outcomes in this new digital-first era. By aligning SAP’s technology with our customers’ growth ambitions, and leveraging our strong partner ecosystem, we will help Southeast Asian businesses across all industries innovate and thrive,” Ranjan said.

Commenting on the appointments, Liher Urbizu, president and managing director of SAP Southeast Asia, said the leadership changes reflect the region’s growing role in global technology adoption, with Indonesia emerging as a key market.

“Southeast Asia continues to be a front-runner in tech innovation, and the adoption AI and cloud technologies. These leadership appointments reflect our mission to empower customers across Indonesia and Southeast Asia to embed intelligence into every workflow - from finance to supply chain to professional services - to deliver true business impact. Saket and Sianto each bring a passion for innovation and deep expertise that aligns with this mission, and I am confident they will help our customers unlock new opportunities in the AI-powered era,” Urbizu said.

Previously, SAP appointed Dhyoti Basuki-Ramdhani as head of external communications for Southeast Asia, effective 1 June 2025. Based in Jakarta, she leads the region’s communications strategy, focusing on strengthening media relations and amplifying customer success stories across Southeast Asia.
