Market Place and 8FIVE2 bring street culture to everyday life

Market Place, a supermarket chain under DFI Retail Group, has partnered with Hong Kong lifestyle brand 8FIVE2, founded by style icon Brian Siswojo of 24 Herbs, to launch the limited-edition “Urban moves” collection (「型」聚都市系列).
Believing that street culture extends far beyond fashion, Market Place views it as an everyday lifestyle defined by self-expression, community connection, and a drive to push boundaries. Just as Market Place provides fresh ingredients, healthy beverages, and snacks to energise consumers' daily lives, this collaboration aims to bring that same positive, urban energy into everyday routines.
Overseen personally by Siswojo, a longtime promoter of local skate and street culture, the crossover collection blends the core values of both brands into a unique street aesthetic inspired by the city's dynamic pace.

Designed for life on the go—whether running errands, meeting friends, or exploring the neighborhood—the "Urban moves" collection features five urban lifestyle essentials: cotton ankle socks, a stainless steel thermos bottle, a stainless steel double-layer lunch box, a canvas tote bag, and graphic cotton tees.
Among them, the extra-large canvas tote bag, made from thick canvas material that is more than enough for everyday shopping or weekend outings. The bag is printed with a playful tiger-on-a-skateboard illustration, instantly transforming a practical shopping bag into a fashion accessory full of street attitude.

Meanwhile, the stainless steel double-layer lunch box has a 1,120ml capacity and comes with cutlery, a divider, and a sauce container for convenient, organised healthy eating. Its leak-proof design is dishwasher- and microwave-safe, making it suitable for office lunches, picnics, or post-workout refuelling. Finished with the collaborative illustration, it turns an everyday lunch box into a stylish streetwear statement.
Two exclusive cotton tees in white and green are must-haves for streetwear fans, featuring a relaxed, comfortable cut that is effortlessly casual yet stylish. The graphics are playful, cleverly blending street skateboarding elements with everyday supermarket shopping. Brian is also bringing an ultra-rare beige cotton tee, exclusive to the 8FIVE2 store, available from 18 September while stocks last.
Available until 12 November, customers can spend HK$180 or more to redeem products as add-on purchases, while yuu members can redeem designated products for free using specified yuu points.

Don’t miss: Wellcome partners with G.O.D to launch hand-painted mahjong set
DFI Retail Group has been infusing local elements into its brands. For example, back in January, Wellcome, another supermarket under the group, joined forces with Douglas Young, founder of local lifestyle brand G.O.D., to hand-paint exclusive designs for its Lunar New Year collectibles - a unique mahjong set and festive versions of traditional games such as sparrow and fish-shrimp-crab.
Wellcome said G.O.D. was a natural partner for the campaign due to the brands’ shared cultural roots. "Both G.O.D. and Wellcome are homegrown brands with a deep love for local culture and neighbourhood life. Together, we're bringing Hong Kong’s unique blend of nostalgia, humour, and modern energy to life in a new way."
