The 2025/26 Ashes series has officially rewritten the record books for Foxtel Group, clocking a staggering 1.3 billion minutes streamed on Kayo Sports.

The 4-1 series victory for Australia was the most-watched Test series in Kayo history, with streaming audiences jumping 31% compared to last summer's India series and a massive 112% on the 2021/22 home Ashes. The data underscores a clear shift in how Australians are consuming long-form sport, with the "commuter and on-the-go" audience driving record engagement.

Fox Sports managing director Steve Crawley said the success reflects a "deep connection" between the network's high-tech production and a world-class commentary team including David Warner, Isa Guha, and Adam Gilchrist.

“It was an exhilarating series with twists that no one could have anticipated, and Australians turned to Fox Sports in record numbers,” Crawley said.

Innovation was a major pull for the 1.3 billion minutes streamed. Foxtel’s Fox Focus (next-gen telestration) and Fox Playbook (predictive match-up insights) provided a layer of "verified intent" for fans looking for more than just a broadcast.

Cricket Australia ceo Todd Greenberg noted that the results exceeded even the most optimistic forecasts.

“This was the culmination of the fantastic performances of our players and the world-class coverage provided by all our broadcast partners,” he said.

With the Ashes concluded, the focus now shifts to the BBL and the upcoming Australia v India Women’s series in February, as Foxtel looks to maintain its "Summer of Cricket" momentum.
