
DSTNCT and Alphapod set sights on AI-driven transformation with new studio

Creative agency DSTNCT has teamed up with digital development firm Alphapod to launch Next, a new digital product studio aimed at reimagining user experiences with AI at the core.
Headquartered in Singapore, Next brings together DSTNCT’s consumer-first design approach and Alphapod’s technical expertise in web and mobile development to offer brands AI-powered digital solutions spanning UI/UX, app development, and platform design.
The creation of Next signals a bold new chapter for DSTNCT and Alphapod, said the companies in a statement seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE. With a team of multidisciplinary experts, the studio is set to cater to a diverse clientele, helping them to navigate the complexities of the digital and AI era.

In the near future, Next aims to partner with businesses across various sectors. It will also tap onto its foundation in storytelling, data-driven design and agile development processes in both mobile and web to provide tailored digital solutions.
“Our joint venture with DSTNCT represents a pivotal step forward in our mission to empower businesses with transformative digital solutions,” said TJ Tee, managing director of Alphapod.
“The best digital solutions will be those where AI is the UI. By combining our strengths, we’re creating a next-generation agency that’s truly equipped to tackle the challenges of a rapidly evolving digital landscape," Tee added.
In tandem, Matthew Zeng, managing director of DSTNCT said that "The next wave of user experience will be anticipatory, personalised and conversational and that is to us, the future of any brand. Intelligent Experiences (IX) will truly redefine the consumer psyche in so many different ways and we are only just at the beginning of it.”
The joint venture is already eyeing opportunities across industries.
The move mirrors similar partnerships in the region, such as W Productions, a joint venture between W Communications and Bellow. W Productions was set up to deliver integrated creative and content services.
It also comes following the appointment of Genevieve Sarah Loh as its director of content and strategic communications. In her role, Loh will helm content strategy and communications for the agency's diverse portfolio, which includes the ministry of digital development and information, national arts council, AIA Singapore, Mandai, StarHub and CapitaLand Singapore.
