Butler Experiences has been appointed the official activation partner for Capitol Theatre’s F1 Week programme from 5 to 11 October 2026, taking responsibility for the experience from the commercial concept through to the on-ground delivery.

The independent Singapore agency has created the programme concept, brought participating brands onto the platform, and designed how they will engage visitors. Butler is also leading the brand and venue liaison, fabrication, build-ups, manpower, and site operations, giving one team accountability from the first commercial conversation to the final audience interaction.

Confirmed participating brands include Heineken, Tesla, Lenovo, and Red Bull, with further collaborations to be announced. The programme will combine official F1 watch-party screenings with interactive brand experiences, entertainment, food and beverage, and audience participation across Capitol Theatre and its surrounding precinct.

A platform for participation, not passive sponsorship

Rather than treating race week as a collection of unrelated booths around a screening, Butler is building one connected visitor journey. Each participating brand has been given a clear role within the experience, with activation mechanics designed around product discovery, participation, content creation, data capture, and sales.

This will give brands access to the wider programme audience while preserving a distinct experience built around their own objectives. For regional and international brands operating in Singapore, Butler will also provide a single local partner across commercial development, creative strategy, production, and delivery.

“F1 Week gives brands access to one of Singapore’s most energetic cultural moments, but visibility alone is no longer enough. Our role is to create a reason for people to participate, then give brands a meaningful role within that experience – whether through product trial, sales, content or data capture” – Gabriel Wee, founder and CEO, Butler Experiences.

One of the programme’s largest visual experiences will be the Heineken 0.0 Fan Garage, conceptualised by Butler around Heineken’s “fans have more friends” platform. The immersive race-garage environment will combine a driving simulator, reaction challenges, product engagement, and illuminated visual touchpoints.

Its physical scale will create visibility, the competitive mechanics will encourage participation and dwell time, and the surrounding brand elements will support product interaction, social content, and conversion. Depending on each partner’s objectives, results will be evaluated through footfall, completed game plays, product trials, on-site sales, QR registrations, opt-in leads, redemptions, audience-created content, and dwell time.

Butler and the future of experiential marketing

The Capitol Theatre partnership reflects Wee’s belief that experiential agencies should not wait for a standalone execution brief. Instead, they can identify a cultural moment, work with a destination to shape the platform, curate relevant brand partners, and carry the experience from the commercial concept through to the physical delivery.

What is distinctive about Butler’s appointment is the breadth of that responsibility. The same founder-led team that will develop the proposition and bring partners together remains accountable for the creative development, fabrication, manpower, and site execution. That continuity will reduce the gaps that can arise when sponsorship sales, creative, production, and operations are handled separately.

“The future of experiential marketing is not about building another booth. It is about creating a reason for people to be there, then giving brands a useful and credible role within that experience. Physical spaces are becoming media channels, and audiences now expect participation rather than passive visibility,” Wee said.

Built on a track record of delivery

The appointment marks the next stage of Butler Experiences’ development under Wee. The agency has delivered more than 120 events and experiential activations, reached more than 35,000 guests, and managed projects with combined budgets exceeding S$5 million.

Its experience includes work for Heineken, Singtel, Tesla, NTUC/e2i, CapitaLand, Carlsberg, Grab, and Marquee, among others. Recent work includes a Heineken 0.0 mobile sampling campaign that distributed more than 5,000 cans and a Heineken Silver and Men’s Folio activation for more than 300 attendees featuring a 10-metre retro television installation and a social-content redemption mechanic.

For Butler, the Capitol Theatre appointment demonstrates the value of an integrated agency model at the intersection of brands, spaces, and culture: creating the opportunity, bringing partners into it, and remaining accountable for what audiences ultimately experience on the ground.
