Moroccan heritage brand Bacha Coffee has expanded its presence at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) with the launch of "The Pavilion." Located in the Departures East Hall of Terminal 1, the new location introduces the brand's signature "Coffee Room" dining concept to an airport environment for the first time.
Spanning 1,507 square feet, the multi-concept space integrates a 26-seat Coffee Room, a retail Boutique, and a dedicated Takeaway counter under one roof. The site aims to transform the pre-flight experience by offering an all-day gourmet menu paired with over 200 varieties of 100% Arabica coffees sourced from 35 countries.
Paying homage to its origins at the Dar el Bacha palace in Marrakech, the interior features carved cedar wood details, geometric trellises, black-and-white inlaid marble flooring, and walls lined with Bacha Coffee’s signature ochre canisters.
At the Coffee Room, Coffee Masters prepare single-origin harvests and flavoured blends using traditional methods, serving beverages from golden gooseneck pots into fine bone china. The beverage selection is complemented by a menu of signature sweet and savoury croissants, viennoiseries, and coffee cakes.
Alongside the dining experience, the Coffee Boutique offers whole beans, custom-ground coffee, gift box collections, and personalised hamper services featuring coffee accessories and gourmet items. For passengers on the move, the Takeaway concept provides hot or iced coffees served with raw sugar candy sticks, vanilla bean Chantilly cream, and reusable glass straws.
"We believe that every journey deserves a moment of beauty and indulgence," says Taha Bouqdib, president & CEO of Bacha Coffee. "We invite travellers to step into the world of Bacha Coffee before they take flight, savouring the finest 100% Arabica specialty coffees served with Moroccan hospitality whether they are simply transiting, arriving or departing from the city. Hong Kong remains a key player in global travel, and we are delighted to deepen our presence in the city and its airport."
The opening of Bacha Coffee - The Pavilion reinforces the maison's strategic focus on travel retail as a key pillar of its global expansion, bringing new experiences to new audiences through its first Travel Retail Coffee Room, setting the stage for a new chapter in the brand's journey, one where the art of exceptional coffee meets the thrill of discovery.
