In a dazzling display of creativity, strategy, and consumer connection, Alliance Bank Malaysia emerged as the clear standout at the Marketing Excellence Awards Malaysia 2025, taking home the coveted Overall Marketer of the Year title. The bank didn’t just win; it swept the stage with five Gold, eight Silver, and five Bronze trophies, a testament to marketing that delivers impact where it matters most.

This year, Alliance Bank proved that bold ideas paired with seamless execution can move both audiences and numbers. Among its standout initiatives were “The Ultimate Elevator Pitch: B2B SME Competition Gets 3.4 Million Views and Grows Digital Loan Disbursements by 20%,” “Spot the Scam: The Nation’s Youngest Financial Superheroes Rise Across 1,461 Schools,” “Signal-Led, Outcome-Driven: How Alliance Rewired SME Performance,” “Heritage in Motion: Local, Local, Local,” “Winning Search, Without Outspending,” and “Turning Digital Signals into Real-World Outcomes.” Each campaign reflected the bank’s commitment to innovation, insight, and community relevance.

Partnering with agencies including Ampersand Advisory, Invictus Blue Group, Mister Yeow Creative, Hamburger Asia, Vertex Blue, and REISE Digital, Alliance Bank dominated categories such as 'Excellence in B2B Marketing', 'Excellence in Data Privacy and Security Marketing', 'Excellence in Performance Marketing', 'Excellence in Location-Based Marketing', 'Excellence in Search Engine Marketing Strategies', and 'Excellence in Programmatic Marketing'.

Etika Group of Companies also made a powerful showing, securing seven Gold, five Silver, and one Bronze for its bold and purpose-driven campaigns. Notable wins included “Atlas Ecopod: World’s Slimmest Reverse Vending Machine with Compaction System,” “On Ground, Online, In Hearts: A Cultural Experience That United a Region,” and “Where Drama Meets Dinner: Dapur Goodday Ramadan,” all brought to life in partnership with Ampersand Advisory.

MR.DIY captured the imagination of audiences as well, earning five Gold and three Silver trophies for campaigns rooted in local pride and connection. From the raucous national celebration of “Bersama Satu Suara” to “PANDAi Jaga Anda” and its DIY Chinese New Year campaign, the brand demonstrated how marketing can feel personal, relevant, and culturally resonant.

Other notable winners included Telekom Malaysia, Ecart Services, Watsons Malaysia, Wipro Unza Malaysia, Ace Canning Corporation, BONIA, and Maybank, all reinforcing Malaysia’s thriving culture of creativity and storytelling in marketing.

The Marketing Excellence Awards 2025 concluded on 31 October with a glamorous gala at Le Méridien Petaling Jaya, celebrating the country’s finest in marketing innovation. Judged by an independent panel of senior client-side marketers, including leaders from Amorepacific Malaysia, Bank Rakyat, Malaysia Aviation Group, Michelin Malaysia, Ninja Van Malaysia, and Valiram, the awards reflected genuine peer recognition and celebrated excellence across the industry.
