



adidas turns local hoods into street style in SG60 drop

Just in time for National Day, adidas Singapore is championing local pride with six new designs in its “Rep your hood” collection.
The latest additions pay tribute to Bukit Timah, Chinatown, East Coast, Jalan Besar, Kampong Glam and Little India. The new designs join an existing line-up of tees that celebrate the stories and spirit of Singapore’s most iconic neighbourhoods.
First launched to shine a spotlight on everyday local culture, the “Rep your hood” series captures unique details that define each district. The new Bukit Timah tee, for example, features a playful monkey swiping an adidas backpack, a nod to the nature reserve’s rugged trails and mischievous wildlife.

Chinatown’s design digs into history, referencing its Mandarin and Malay names — 牛车水 and Kreta Ayer — which mean ‘bullock cart water’, recalling an era when animal-drawn carts supplied water to the area.
East Coast’s tee channels the district’s love for the outdoors, complete with seaside icons such as the 'adilettes' sandals and water bottles. Meanwhile, Jalan Besar’s version taps its rich football heritage, paying homage to the stadium that’s been a community hub since 1929.
Kampong Glam’s design reimagines the area’s elegant shophouses, while Little India’s tee bursts with the colour and surprise that define the neighbourhood’s vibrant streets.

Beyond the fresh drop, adidas is calling on the local running community to put a creative spin on their neighbourhood routes with its SG60 GPS art challenge. Runners can plot and run routes in the shape of an art piece inspired by their hood, share a screenshot on Instagram tagging @adidasSG with #adidasRunnersSG, and stand to win a custom tee.
The challenge is open until 31 August, giving Singaporeans another reason to hit the pavement and see their surroundings in a new light.
All 17 designs in the collection are available on a print-on-demand basis at adidas’ 'Made for you' counters. Customers can pick a graphic for SG$14 and heat-press it onto a plain tee for SG$35. The service is offered at adidas Brand Centre Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and VivoCity Performance, with selected designs available at Bugis Junction, Causeway Point, ION Orchard, Northpoint City, Suntec City, Waterway Point and OG People’s Park.
Previous designs in "Rep your hood" include neighbourhoods Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Hougang, Jurong, Punggol, Sengkang, Tampines, Woodlands and Yishun.
adidas has steadily amplified its celebration of local pride in Singapore over the years. Just last month, the brand announced a three-year partnership to become the official kit supplier for Lion City Sailors, Singapore’s premier football club, starting from the 2025/26 season. This deal will see the club don adidas’ latest sportswear and equipment designed to boost performance both on and off the pitch.
In addition, adidas and Lion City Sailors will work together on fan engagement initiatives, community programmes, and exclusive events aimed at strengthening ties with football fans across Singapore.
The brand’s focus on local culture is also evident in its previous National Day collaborations. In 2024, adidas partnered with Ya Kun Kaya Toast to release a merchandise collection featuring vinyl heat-press graphic tees, hoodies, shoe charms and enamel pins inspired by iconic Ya Kun menu items such as kaya butter toast, iced tea and soft boiled eggs.
The hoodies were available exclusively on the Ya Kun Cherish App and social media channels, reflecting adidas’ commitment to authentic local storytelling through design.
