7-Eleven HK steps up support for DSE candidates

As Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) candidates prepare for one of the most high-pressure milestones of their academic lives, 7-Eleven Hong Kong is reviving its "We're here for you" support campaign.
Tied to the brand's 45th-anniversary theme, "Always here, made for more!", the initiative aims to offer practical, stress-relieving gestures to students navigating result day on 15 July.
Recognising the emotional weight of the day, the convenience store giant is leveraging its extensive retail network to provide free coffee, collaborative brand discounts, and a specially printed, lighthearted newspaper to candidates across the city.
On result day, DSE candidates can redeem a free cup of hot or iced 7CAFÉ coffee at any participating Hong Kong outlet by presenting their student ID or 2026 DSE result slip. The gesture is designed to give students a simple, comforting pause to gather their thoughts, regardless of the outcomes on their slips.
In addition to the coffee giveaway, 7-Eleven has mobilised its brand partners to launch a "Better together" pricing initiative on 15 July. The promotion slashes prices on 14 popular items—ranging from quick snacks and drinks to everyday essentials—allowing the wider community to participate in small, affordable gestures of encouragement for the students in their lives.
To inject some levity into an otherwise tense day, the retailer is distributing 30,000 free copies of a special DSE edition of its newspaper, 7-Eleven Good News (《7 仔好報》).
The publication reimagines popular 7-Eleven house products as a cartoon "cheer squad," using comic strips and positive messaging to remind students that exam results do not define their future.
The print campaign is accompanied by a new, understated "We're here for you" video. Moving away from highly staged corporate messaging, the video focuses on quiet, authentic words of encouragement to help students face the post-exam transition with greater peace of mind.
"For 45 years, 7-Eleven has been growing alongside Hong Kong people and staying closely connected with the communities we serve,” said Gloria Shiu, marketing director of 7-Eleven Hong Kong & Macau.
“DSE result day marks an important milestone for many young people as they begin a new chapter in life. Through this year’s ‘We’re Here For You’ initiative, we hope to offer encouragement and support at this meaningful moment, reflecting our commitment to being there for the communities we serve. As candidates look ahead to the next stage of their journey, we want them to know that 7-Eleven stands alongside them as they take their next step forward," she added.
Last year, the campaign kicked off with two films featuring an original song and DSE students ahead of the result day, reflecting how 7-Eleven prepares itself to accompany them 24/7. The film includes key lines reinforcing its core message: “Needless to say, sharing and companionship are the most thoughtful support” (無需多言,分享、陪伴,就是最貼心的支持).
