Following the global rebrand to WPP Media and the consolidation of agency brands, WPP Media Hong Kong is entering the next phase of simplification to drive deeper collaboration with clients.

Under the new structure, Silas Ho (pictured left), SVP, client leadership, now oversees all clients across previously separate agency accounts, reporting directly to Michael Beecroft, CEO, Northeast Asia.

Rose Tsang (pictured right) has been appointed as SVP, media management and delivery (MMD), leading media operations in Hong Kong as WPP integrates Nexus and Investment into the new MMD unit.

Additionally, Cathy Cheng, general manager of Mindshare Hong Kong, has resigned and departed the business.

These changes build on earlier leadership moves, including the promotion of Scotty Ho and Johnny Ng to vice president, strategy and growth, positioning WPP Media Hong Kong for sustained expansion.

The restructured model, operational for several months, has already driven key wins - including lululemon’s digital and brand remit for Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia.

The appointment also extends WPP Media's regional strategy mandate that was in place since last year. It is understood that the agency was chosen as it has good grasp of local market nuances.

On a separate note, Microsoft executive Cindy Rose will take over as global CEO of WPP on 1 September, replacing Mark Read after a seven-year tenure that saw Read lead the creative giant through a period of major transformation.

A longtime board member at WPP, Rose steps into the role amid ongoing shifts in technology, AI and media investment.

She currently serves as chief operating officer, global enterprise at Microsoft and has held a seat on the WPP board since 2019. She will work alongside Read during a transition period through to the end of the year and will be based between London and New York.
