UNIQLO rides into National Day with LTA collab

UNIQLO rides into National Day with LTA collab

UNIQLO is celebrating Singapore's 61st National Day with a new collaboration with the Land Transport Authority (LTA), turning MRT neighbourhoods into wearable art through a UTme! collection. The initiative forms part of a wider SG61 campaign featuring exclusive collections, enhanced omnichannel shopping experiences and a month-long Marina Bay Sands pop-up.

As part of the collaboration, the retailer has unveiled a UTme! collection inspired by Singapore's neighbourhoods, featuring exclusive illustrations by local artist Jon Tan.

Launching on 31 July, it spotlights areas including Ang Mo Kio, Marine Parade and Sengkang, with each design beginning at an MRT station before unfolding into the sights, sounds and stories of the surrounding community. The range celebrates the places Singaporeans live, work and commute through, transforming everyday journeys into wearable keepsakes.

Running from 20 July to 9 August under the theme "Made For All. Made For Singapore.", the SG61 campaign celebrates the people, places and everyday moments that make Singapore home through limited-time LifeWear offers, new shopping experiences and community-focused activations. Alongside seasonal promotions, the retailer is introducing new omnichannel services designed to make shopping more convenient for customers across the island.

Separately, UNIQLO's first Marina Bay Sands pop-up is open from 17 July to 13 August. Designed as a LifeWear T-Shirt Shop, the month-long activation offers a curated selection of the brand's signature T-shirts, ranging from everyday staples such as the boxy cropped T-shirt to new launches including the Pokémon UT collection and the Singapore-exclusive Mickey Mouse in Singapore UT collection.

Customers who make a purchase at the pop-up will receive an exclusive Marina Bay Sands paper bag and a complimentary Mickey Singapore iron-on patch, while stocks last.

Beyond the pop-up, UNIQLO is expanding its omnichannel offering with the launch of its 'Order & pick' service from 5 August, allowing customers to reserve purchases made through the UNIQLO app or website and collect them from stores in as little as two hours. The retailer will also introduce its first 'Click & collect locker' at The Clementi Mall on 26 August, providing shoppers with a faster and more flexible collection option.

To mark SG61, UNIQLO is also rolling out limited-time offers on LifeWear favourites, including AIRism cotton crew neck oversized T-shirts, geared shorts and denim culottes. Customers spending a minimum of SG$100 with a DBS/POSB card can take part in an islandwide sure-win garapon promotion featuring prizes such as UNIQLO gift cards, camping chairs and picnic mats. Selected stores will also offer a limited-edition UNIQLO clicker key charm with a minimum spend of SG$61 from 31 July to 2 August, while stocks last.

The LTA collaboration builds on UNIQLO's strategy of anchoring its National Day campaigns in local culture. For SG60 last year, the retailer teamed up with heritage breakfast chain Ya Kun Kaya Toast on a limited-edition UTme! collection inspired by Singapore's kopi and teh culture, pairing exclusive T-shirt designs with co-branded keychains and islandwide promotions. This year's campaign shifts the focus from breakfast culture to the neighbourhoods and MRT stations that shape Singaporeans' everyday lives.
