Global advertising technology firm The Trade Desk has appointed Stella Leung (pictured) as senior vice president of the Greater China and Korea region.

In this role, Leung will lead the company’s business and growth strategy across these key markets and will report directly to Jed Dederick, chief revenue officer of The Trade Desk.

Leung brings over 23 years of leadership experience in advertising and technology sectors across the Asia Pacific region. Most recently, she served as director of agency at Google for the Greater China region, where she was responsible for driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.

Before that, Leung was the senior sales manager in IBM’s Software Group for Hong Kong and Macau, leading business development and marketing strategy for the industry and integration software solution teams.

“Leung brings an exceptional depth of leadership and strategic insight, and we are excited to welcome her to our team,” said Dederick. “Her track record in driving transformative growth and understanding of the industry will be critical for us as we accelerate our expansion in Greater China and Korea. With her expertise on board, we are in the best position we’ve ever been in to make our impact in the region.”

“I am honoured to join The Trade Desk at such a pivotal time,” said Leung. “The open internet represents a significant opportunity for advertisers to drive meaningful impact through greater transparency and precision. With The Trade Desk’s cutting-edge technology and data-driven approach, I look forward to strengthening our partnerships with clients and agencies and helping them unlock the full potential of their advertising strategies.”

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to The Trade Desk for more information.

This comes following the recent appointment of Vivek Kundra as the company's chief operating officer (COO), effective 31 March. In this role, Kundra will oversee global operations and drive operational excellence across the enterprise.

Kundra brings a wealth of experience to The Trade Desk: As an accelerator of operational rigor within high-growth software organisations such as Salesforce, working closely with CEOs to marry operational and growth priorities; and as the US government’s first chief information officer (CIO).
