Hong Kong telco SmarTone has launched a new parenting app designed to help parents safeguard their children’s physical and mental wellbeing, nurture positive values, and strengthen family bonds.
Known as “Kids CARE”, the app is developed in-house by the SmarTone team. Built with insights into the needs of modern parents, it offers a comprehensive and reassuring way to stay connected with children’s daily lives. With an intuitive and user-friendly interface, it aims to address parenting needs in terms of protection, development, and connection.
Within the app, parents can set daily screen time limits, customise schedules for children’s learning and rest, and remotely pause online activities via “lock mode”. With built-in web filtering, parents can block or allow preset content categories, specific websites or apps.
Additionally, "Kids CARE" app offers live location tracking, storing up to 30 days of location history, and allows parents to view their children’s browsing history on smartphones and tablets. Compatible with both iOS and Android, the app supports up to 20 connected devices.

To encourage adoption, SmarTone is providing a three-month free trial of "Kids CARE" for existing customers, while new or renewing customers will receive a six-month free trial. After the trial period, the app’s monthly subscription fee is HK$56.
Parents can seek professional consultation and support on the app features at SmarTone’s retail stores and customer service hotline.

Don't miss: SmarTone takes proactive stance to raise awareness of cyber threats
Back in March, SmarTone unveiled a campaign to raise awareness of cyber threats and take proactive measures to protect themselves and their loved ones.
A spokesperson from SmarTone said the campaign introduces a fresh perspective in the fight against increasingly sophisticated online scams. "While many anti-scam initiatives focus on individual awareness, SmarTone shifts the narrative to emphasise a critical blind spot: the vulnerability of family members, particularly the elderly and children, rather than just the individual."
