Samaiden Group, a local engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) solutions provider for renewable energy projects, has named Sharon Loh (pictured) as its new director of brand and corporate growth.

Loh officially took up the role in April 2026 and reports directly to Samaiden’s group managing director, Chow Pui Hee.

As part of her remit, she will oversee strategic branding, corporate growth, as well as the group’s sustainability and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) communications under the brand and corporate growth office.

She brings years of experience in the renewable energy (RE)sector, having served as a marketing consultant and director of group marketing communications for solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions provider Pekat Group. Loh also spent over five years at Plus Xnergy overseeing group marcomms, business strategy, marketing and branding across various roles.

Additionally, she has held stints at CTOS, SuperAnt, Asiatique Property Management, PropertyGuru, Shizens Cosmetic, Elite Expo and Cité Book Garden.

In her current position at Samaiden, Loh told A+M exclusively that her department will serve as the central hub for corporate communications, marketing and brand management.

“This integration ensures that every touchpoint, from technical B2B and B2C performance marketing to high-level corporate storytelling, is cohesive and business outcome-driven,” she said.

Sharing more about taking on the role, Loh said: “Beyond my established track record in humanising the clean energy sector, what excites me most is the opportunity to consolidate my eight years of industry experience within the RE sector to lead this expanded corporate growth mandate.”

She added that she is excited to drive a true “inside-out” brand integration, “where we align our brand value with cultural transformation to drive sustainable growth for both the business and our people, as a game-changer in the listed market.”

“I look forward to creating the essential bridge between technical engineering excellence and emotional brand resonance through what I call ‘heartwork’,” Loh said.

Looking ahead, she shared: “You can expect a shift toward a more human-centric and integrated narrative. We will be moving beyond technical specifications to showcase Samaiden as a purpose-led ‘total clean energy solutionist’.”

This will be aimed at bridging the gap between engineering precision and the people-first mission of powering a sustainable future.

In other brand-related appointments within Malaysia, Farm Fresh recently named Jules Yeo as its new head of brand and eCommerce, as the Malaysian dairy player looks to deepen its consumer connection and scale its brand across categories and markets.

He joins from a recent stint as head of marketing for Oriental Kopi, Beutea and Verrona Hills. Prior to that, Yeo was head of Farm Fresh Digital, where he led the growth of the brand’s eCommerce arm. He also previously worked as a brand specialist at F&N and TIME dotCom.

Meanwhile, Woodpeckers Group (WPG), the parent company of llaollao Malaysia, ChaTraMue Malaysia and Shae.co, has appointed Jovina Tan as its new general manager for commercial growth and performance.

Tan officially stepped into the role on 1 April and will lead the group’s commercial growth agenda across all brands, taking full ownership of the end-to-end customer and revenue funnel – from brand strategy and demand creation to conversion, retention and lifetime value.
