International communications firm Ruder Finn Asia has named Pamela Phua (pictured right) as its new general manager of its Singapore office.

Phua brings over 20 years of experience in branding, integrated marketing, reputation management and strategic communications to her new role. Before joining Ruder Finn Asia, Phua served as head of new business, Asia, PR and Influence at Ogilvy, where she established a strong track record in client advisory and business development, the agency said in a statement.

Phua has successfully managed high-stakes reputation management projects, navigated complex crises and safeguarded corporate reputations, it added.  Her experience also spans consultancy and in-house roles.

Prior to her stint at Ogilvy, Phua was the vice president of communications at Omnicom Public Relations Group, a role she held for two years.

She has also held leadership roles in companies such as Portland, HK Express and Scoot.

"I am excited and honoured to join the Ruder Finn Singapore team and look forward to driving creative strategies that will elevate our clients' brands and reputations. My aim is to ensure we deliver impactful results and stay ahead in the dynamic communications landscape," said Phua.

In tandem, the agency has named Brian Witte (pictured left) as its new head of Ruder Finn Southeast Asia corporate practice.

Having been part of the Ruder Finn Asia team for over a decade, Witte has worked with numerous corporate clients, including Visa, Infor, 3M, DBS, BASF, Backbase, and Pan Pacific Hotels Group, during his tenure as general manager of Ruder Finn Singapore.

In his new role as head of Southeast Asia corporate practice, Witte will focus on cross-border client collaboration and exploring new business opportunities in Southeast Asia, the agency said.

“I am honoured to step into this position and excited to build on the strong foundation we've established in Singapore and across the region. Southeast Asia is a dynamic and rapidly evolving market, and I look forward to leveraging our corporate practice and regional expertise to help our clients navigate its complexities," said Witte. "My focus will be on fostering collaboration and identifying innovative strategies that drive business growth and strengthen positive reputation for our clients."
