Orion Digital blasts off with bold new brand identity

Digital marketing consultancy Orion Digital has unveiled a refreshed brand identity as it celebrates its 15th anniversary, introducing a new logo designed to better reflect the agency's evolution, values and ambition to help businesses grow in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
The rebrand marks a significant milestone for the agency, which launched as a social media agency at a time when digital marketing was still in its infancy. Today, Orion positions itself as a digital marketing and growth consultancy, helping businesses navigate change, uncover new opportunities and achieve sustainable growth.
According to the agency, the refreshed identity was created to better represent the Orion Digital of today rather than the company it was 15 years ago.
"When we started 15 years ago, we were known as a social media agency, at a time when even the term 'digital media' was not yet widely used. Since then, we have grown into a digital marketing and growth consultancy, helping businesses navigate change, identify opportunities and achieve meaningful growth," founder and CEO Shanker Joyrama told A+M.

While the agency's capabilities have expanded over the years, Joyrama said its core philosophy of understanding its clients' business goals and delivering work that contributes meaningfully has remained unchanged.
That evolution is reflected throughout the new visual identity. The refreshed logo adopts a deep navy palette to represent trust and credibility, paired with burnt orange to convey energy, creativity and ambition. Its typography has also been reworked, with bold uppercase lettering and cleaner geometric forms intended to create a stronger, more confident and timeless presence.
One of the logo's defining features is the letter "A", which has been stylised into the shape of a rocket to symbolise the agency's commitment to helping businesses navigate change, accelerate growth and move forward with confidence.
The agency's name also carries symbolic meaning. Drawing inspiration from the Orion constellation, the rebrand positions the agency as a guide for businesses navigating an increasingly fast-changing digital world.

"Just as the constellation of stars has guided explorers for centuries, we see our role as helping businesses find a clearer path through an increasingly complex digital world," said Joyrama.
The timing of the rebrand also reflects broader shifts within the marketing industry. As artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and changing customer behaviour continue to reshape the digital landscape, Joyrama said Orion wanted an identity that matched both its expanded capabilities and future ambitions.
"Our future direction is strategy-led, technology-enabled and focused on growth. We will continue helping businesses navigate change, accelerate their ambitions and move forward with greater clarity and confidence," he said.
Orion Digital's rebrand comes amid a wider wave of agency transformations across the region. Earlier this year, M+C Saatchi Malaysia transitioned to full local ownership and rebranded as M+C Saatchi KARSA, marking a new chapter as an independent, founder-led agency rooted in Malaysia while retaining the discipline of an international network through a licensed model.
Speaking to Marketing Connected's Agency Agenda podcast at the time, founding partner and CEO Sharifah Menyalara Hussein, better known as Lara Hussein, said the rebrand was about creating a stronger local identity after 23 years in the market. The new name, KARSA, is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning "creative will" or "conscious intent", reflecting the agency's belief in intent-driven creativity.
The move also signalled a broader strategic pivot, giving the agency greater flexibility to develop new offerings while doubling down on local talent, business transformation and growth consulting.
