Modest fashion brand TAZA turns Jakarta into a reflective space through immersive showcase

Indonesian modest fashion brand TAZA has unveiled its solo exhibition, “A tale of tomorrow - where virtue meets responsibility,” positioning fashion as a form of stewardship shaped by conscious choices and safeguarded processes.

Running from 9-15 January 2026 at D’Gallerie, Jakarta, the exhibition invites visitors to look beyond garments as end products and instead consider fashion as an amanah - a responsibility that carries long-term social and environmental impact. The exhibition was officially opened by Yuke Sri Rahayu, deputy for creativity, culture, and design at the ministry of creative economy, alongside TAZA founder Ashila Ramadhani and co-founder Afina Maharani.

“A tale of tomorrow is more than an exhibition. It is an invitation to pause, to reflect, and to understand the meaning behind every choice we make. This space was created to honour the journey that has brought TAZA to where it is today, to celebrate the hands and communities who have walked alongside us, and to imagine a future of modest fashion built on responsibility, sincerity, and purpose,” said Ramadhani in her opening remarks.

Rahayu echoed this sentiment, highlighting the broader significance of the initiative for Indonesia’s creative sector. “TAZA demonstrates that Indonesian local brands are capable of creating work with integrity. Spaces like this are important reminders that the creative process is not merely about responding to trends, but about shaping direction and values for the future. We hope this exhibition becomes both a source of inspiration and a meaningful contribution to the development of the fashion sub-sector and the strengthening of local Indonesian brands,” she said.

A narrative journey through values and process

Conceptually, “A tale of tomorrow” is anchored on three core pillars - commitment, assurance, and comfort - which underpin TAZA’s design philosophy. These values are reflected in the brand’s emphasis on breathable silhouettes, ease of movement, and an intentional, sustainability-driven approach, from material selection to production processes.

Rather than functioning as a conventional display, the exhibition unfolds as a narrative journey across five interconnected spaces. The Shared Home opens the experience by framing the Earth as a collective trust, highlighting the relationship between humanity and nature. The Hands Behind honours the people who have shaped TAZA’s journey, from family to internal teams, underscoring the role of process, prayer, and togetherness in creation.

The Piece That Gets You presents TAZA’s collections as embodiments of values, where aesthetics, comfort, and responsibility converge. In You, the brand places its community and loyal wearers at the centre of its story, reinforcing the idea that each piece gains meaning through lived experience. The exhibition closes with The Ones to Come, a forward-looking reflection on how today’s choices shape tomorrow’s outcomes.

Maharani described the intended emotional impact of the experience: “We want visitors to truly feel the warmth behind TAZA’s journey. The experience we hope to leave is a sense of closeness, belonging, and shared growth. This exhibition reflects our ongoing commitment to creating modest fashion that is not only beautiful, but also responsible and sustainable.”

Curated visits and special collections

To maintain an intimate and immersive atmosphere, visits to “A tale of tomorrow” are curated into scheduled sessions throughout the exhibition period. On 11-12 January 2026, TAZA offered limited tickets starting from IDR 100,000 (US$5.9) via a time-slot system on its official website, tazalabel.id. These sessions include workshops led by collaborating brands and access to purchase selected collections.

On 14-15 January 2026, the exhibition is open to the public without product sales, allowing visitors to fully engage with the narrative and spatial experience.

In line with the exhibition’s themes, TAZA also introduced its special collection The Soil & Souls - Chapter II, available exclusively through a pre-order system at the venue from 9-13 January 2026. Carrying the tagline “When timelessness takes shape,” the collection reflects the brand’s emphasis on enduring design, respect for process, and values that extend beyond seasonal trends.

Through “A tale of tomorrow”, TAZA reinforces its positioning as a modest fashion brand rooted in conscious growth and long-term responsibility - framing fashion not only as something worn today, but as a set of values preserved for the future.
