Singapore’s national media network and content creator Mediacorp has named Jacqui Lim as its new chief commercial officer effective 3 June 2024.

The move is aimed at driving revenue growth and unlocking new business opportunities for the company, it said in a statement.

As chief commercial officer, Lim will be instrumental in charting a roadmap for boosting revenue streams, developing a commercial strategy aligned with Mediacorp’s efforts to constantly innovate and augment its offerings for audiences and advertisers.

She will lead the commercial group in revenue generation and client engagement, collaborating with business units and partners to provide targeted solutions across Mediacorp’s range of IPs and platforms.

“Partnerships are key to unlocking new commercial success. I believe Lim will bring her business and creative acumen to continue delivering innovative and targeted solutions for our clients across our wide range of content, talent and platforms,” said Loke Kheng, CEO of Mediacorp.

“I am thrilled to join a forward-thinking company that is focused on securing its position as a leading integrated player in the competitive media landscape," said Lim. "I look forward to working with team Mediacorp to deliver synergistic business results, and provide the most effective, complete and targeted solutions for our clients.”

The news comes days after Lim stepped down as CEO for Havas Media Network Singapore and chief growth officer for SEA and North Asia after 10 years with the agency.

Lim, a seasoned media professional, was a driving force behind the growth and success of Havas Media Network Singapore. Having joined the agency in 2014 as the managing director of Havas Media, Lim rose through the ranks to CEO, showcasing exceptional leadership skills and strategic acumen.

Throughout her tenure, she was instrumental in fostering growth across various fronts, including new business acquisition, client retention, and talent development.

In 2022, she expanded her responsibilities as chief growth officer for SEA and North Asia, further solidifying her impact within the organisation. Under her leadership, the agency bagged clients such as Changi Airport Group, Singapore Management University, AIA, M1, Cycle & Carriage amongst others.

The news comes shortly after Parminder Singh, who was Mediacorp's chief commercial and digital officer for seven years, stepped down from the role to join luxury platform Tatler Asia as its new chief operating officer (COO), effective 11 March 2024.

In his time at Mediacorp, Singh spearheaded transformative initiatives that drove substantial growth in TV and digital revenues.

In his new role with Tatler. Singh will play a crucial role in guiding Tatler Asia's commercial and operational strategies, with a focus on enhancing regional and local market presence, driving advertising, sponsorships, collaborations and B2B revenue growth.

Additionally, he will be instrumental in amplifying Tatler Asia's brands and spearheading growth through the exploration of new products and business models, said Tatler Asia at the time.
