M&C Saatchi Group has tapped Emma Robbins for the group CCO role across its Australia and New Zealand offices, following the resignation of Steve Coll after nearly two years in the role.
Robbins, who served as CCO for M&C's Melbourne office, has been with the agency for more than seven years and was previously executive creative director.
Her leadership has shaped several of the group’s biggest creative executions including Commonwealth Bank’s Doubt Never Did, Minderoo Foundation’s Plastic Forecast and anti-vaping platform We Are The Warning.
In her expanded role, she will oversee creative output across the group and help define its future creative direction under CEO Dani Bassil.
“The industry is shapeshifting in every which way, which is what makes this such an exciting time to step into the role,” Robbins said. “There are challenges and opportunities everywhere, and we're up for it. We've got the leadership, talent, and energy to meet them head-on and keep creating work that’s powerful in culture and full of meaning.”
Bassil described Robbins as “one of a kind,” adding she is adored by the creative community and clients alike. "I just cannot think of anyone better to lead this agency into the future,” Bassil said.
Coll, who joined M&C Saatchi from Meta in 2023, said he was proud of helping to restructure and integrate the agency’s creative operations and elevate emerging talent.
“Seeing the Woolworths Olympics campaign receive multiple nominations for Campaign of the Year and win TikTok’s Campaign of the Year was a highlight,” he said.
Prior to M&C Saatchi, Robbins held senior roles at The Shannon Company and Clemenger BBDO, and has judged internationally at Cannes, Clio and One Show.
