LG frees up people's minds with new global campaign

LG Electronics has launched its 2026 "Life’s good" campaign under the flagship message, “Free up your mind.” The initiative explores how LG’s AI can lighten the invisible mental load of everyday life by silently automating routine demands, giving people the cognitive breathing room to focus on what truly matters.
The campaign lands at a time when hyper-connectivity makes switching off nearly impossible. According to global survey findings commissioned by LG, people spend nearly a quarter of every year—the equivalent of 87 days—weighed down by mental load. This relentless stream of micro-decisions and domestic management causes the average person to experience 27 mental-load interruptions during their waking hours.
The impact on wellbeing is severe, with 51% of respondents reporting that mental load ruins their sleep and 49% stating that it actively degrades their physical health. For many, this mental clutter follows them home, invading the exact moments meant for rest and recovery.
"Through my research on high-functioning depression, I've found that the constant weight of unshared domestic tasks is a silent trigger for emotional exhaustion," said Judith Joseph, a board-certified psychiatrist and a 2026 TIME100 Creator. "LG's focus on reducing mental load targets the root of this modern crisis. True well-being in the AI era means easing these invisible burdens with intelligent technology, freeing up the psychological capital required to reclaim joy, spontaneity, and human connection."
A key human truth emerged from LG's research: people work tirelessly to stay organized, yet what they miss most is the freedom to be spontaneous. When asked how they would spend their time if this weight were lifted, respondents did not ask for higher productivity or greater achievement. Instead, they wanted to get lost in a book, enjoy unplanned hours with loved ones, and live free from lingering task lists.
This insight underpins LG’s vision of Affectionate Intelligence—technology designed not to force people to do more, but to manage life quietly in the background so they can actually live it.
"As technology becomes part of everyday life, it should quietly help people reclaim their time and attention to enrich their lives," said Kim Hyo-eun, head of LG's brand management division. "Now in its fourth year, the 'Life's good' campaign continues to showcase how innovation brings our brand promise to life."
Building on previous campaign milestones—We don’t make life good, you do (2024) and Less artificial. More human (2025)—the 2026 creative push features a cinematic hero film following a family stepping away from domestic management for an evening to rediscover simple, fully present moments together.
Complementary product films demonstrate how flagship devices, including the LG WashTower, LG Styler, LG OLED, and LG DUALCOOL, autonomously take care of daily routines. To bring the message home, LG is also rolling out an interactive self-assessment tool allowing consumers to measure their own mental load, making an invisible burden visible to prompt a shift toward intentional rest.
