Lenzing's ex-global digital brand marketing lead launches new venture

Vincent Leung (pictured), former head of global digital brand marketing and communications at Lenzing Group, has co-founded BeatSpark Music, a web-enabled music platform, where he now serves as chief marketing officer.

In his new regional role, Leung is based in Hong Kong, where BeatSpark Music is being developed for emerging artists and dedicated fans across Asia. Starting with Hong Kong, the platform will later expand into key Asian music markets that already show strong fan loyalty and premium support behaviours.

In a conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Leung said he co-founded BeatSpark Music with Bowman Chan, who serves as CEO, after repeatedly observing the same issue in the music industry. Emerging artists struggle to identify their true supporters, while dedicated fans seldom receive the acknowledgment they deserve.

“BeatSpark Music is our answer to that gap, a music platform built on a proprietary Web3 infrastructure and blockchain technology that makes fan loyalty visible, measurable and economically meaningful, so emerging artists can identify and reward their true supporters, and fans can be part of an artist’s rise, not just another stream in the data,” he added.

In his role, Leung leads BeatSpark Music's brand strategy, positioning and storytelling, presenting the platform as a recognition-centric space for emerging artists where fan loyalty is visible and earned.

On the commercial side, Leung is responsible for designing BeatSpark Music's fan economy and subscription model, including pricing, trial structure, and the flow of value among fans, artists, and the platform. Separately, he has architected a five-tier loyalty framework that uses points, tiers, and recognition logic to convert listening time and verified participation into structured supporter status.

On the growth front, Leung leads go-to-market strategy and artist-fan acquisition through artist activation, producer collaborations, and label and distributor liaisons. He sources emerging artists with real fan demand and works with their producers or distributors to onboard them.

Leung also leads ecosystem and institutional partnerships, representing BeatSpark Music within the innovation ecosystem. He builds strategic collaborations with InvestHK, HKSTP and other partners to accelerate launch and regional expansion.

“The goal is to position BeatSpark Music not only as a music product but as a structured, compliant Web3-enabled business that can stand alongside other high-quality startups coming out of Hong Kong,” Leung said.

Prior to co-founding BeatSpark Music, Leung was the head of global digital brand marketing and communications at Lenzing Group, a role he held for eight years.

As one of the only marketing global heads of any listed European/western company in Hong Kong, Leung owned the full scope of TENCEL's global digital marketing from strategy, execution, budget, to team management across all regions.
