Jakarta has joined Las Vegas, London and Bahrain as one of only four cities worldwide to host the global reveal of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team’s 2026 livery, marking a milestone moment for Southeast Asia’s growing influence in motorsport culture.
On 9 February 2026, the Indonesian capital served as the region’s representative city for the unveiling of the McLaren F1 MCL40, as PUMA Southeast Asia simultaneously introduced the latest PUMA x McLaren Racing lifestyle collection. The moment positioned Jakarta not only as a viewing hub, but as an active participant in a synchronised global launch.
“For PUMA, motorsport is not only about performance on the track, but also about how racing energy lives within everyday culture. Indonesia, especially Jakarta, has a very strong youth community connected to fashion and streetwear, making it the right place to translate motorsport inspiration into a lifestyle that feels close to people’s daily lives,” said Sanjay Roy, managing director, PUMA Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Rooted in the spirit of fans who bring energy to Formula 1 beyond the circuit, the debut lifestyle collection reinterprets motorsport heritage through contemporary silhouettes. Key pieces include racing-inspired shorts and pants, alongside football-inspired jerseys redesigned for everyday wear – on and off the grid.
The Jakarta activation blended fashion, lifestyle and motorsport into a single immersive experience. Ahead of the livery reveal, guests were treated to a laser mapping performance, building anticipation before the MCL40 was unveiled as part of the synchronised global moment.

Creators from across Southeast Asia attended the car unveil viewing party, reinforcing the campaign’s positioning at the intersection of global sport and regional cultural influence.
Jakarta’s inclusion alongside three major global cities signals Southeast Asia’s rising importance within both the motorsport and lifestyle ecosystems. Selected for its status as a cultural and creative hub, the city provided a platform for fans to experience the MCL40 reveal collectively, narrowing the distance between Formula 1’s global stage and local communities.

Beyond the product drop, the activation reflects how the PUMA x McLaren Racing partnership is evolving into an experiential platform – one that bridges global sporting moments with hyperlocal cultural touchpoints.
The latest PUMA x McLaren Racing collection is now available in Singapore via PUMA’s online store and at selected retail locations including PUMA 313@somerset, VivoCity, Bugis+, OG People’s Park, and selected Limited Edt stores.
