iProspect has promoted client partner Maureen Doris Cheung to head of SEO, putting her in charge of the dentsu agency’s search practice at a pivotal time for the discipline.
Doris Cheung, who joined iProspect in 2020 as SEO director before stepping into a client partner role in 2021, brings 13 years’ experience in technical SEO and customer-centric content. She will lead the agency’s approach to search as AI reshapes discovery, marketplaces and social platforms.
Marcelle Hoyek, iProspect’s national managing director, said Cheung was an “exceptional leader who fosters a culture of excellence and collaboration” and that her promotion reflected the agency’s commitment to craft and innovation.
Doris Cheung said she was excited to expand SEO’s remit. “The future of SEO is multichannel. Our job is to make sure clients appear organically at every point in the journey, no matter where their customers are searching.”
Her elevation rounds out iProspect’s local leadership team alongside chief strategy officer Nick Kavanagh, head of investment Nicola Barnes, and head of digital Bonnie Dodemaide. It follows a strong first half of 2025 for the agency, including new business wins such as Bounce Inc. and recognition in AFR’s Best Places to Work for the second year running.
