How Simmons is turning snoozing into a shareable moment

Simmons is marking this year’s World Sleep Day with a social-first campaign designed to spark conversation around the importance of quality sleep.
Created by The Secret Little Agency, the initiative features a series of greeting cards designed to give the global sleep awareness day a more celebratory feel. The cards, which blend warmth, humour and light-hearted messaging, are intended to be shared with friends and family to encourage better sleep habits. Some of the messaging include "If I had a dollar for every time you yawned, I could have bought you a Simmons mattress" and "Today is your day to finally get some proper sleep."
In conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, TSLA said the idea stemmed from a simple insight: most people have never heard of World Sleep Day. “We saw that as an opportunity for Simmons, a long-time champion for better sleep, to do something about it,” the agency said.

They compared the campaign approach to other “Hallmark” holidays such as Valentine’s and Mother’s Day. “In order to turn this overlooked, if-you-know-you-know holiday into a real occasion celebrated by many, we simply needed to give people a reason, and a way, to celebrate World Sleep Day.”
Greeting cards, TSLA added, were the perfect vehicle. “Nothing says holiday quite like a greeting card. It’s the oldest trick in the book, and it still works. Cards let you be a little honest, a little cheeky, maybe even inject a little roast. There’s something inherently personal and shareable about them. That ‘Oh, this is perfect for so-and-so’ moment was exactly what we were going for.”
Each card also includes a limited-time promotional offer, giving recipients SG$100 off mattresses from the Simmons Beautyrest Prime & Platinum Collection. Flash any of the three cards at a Simmons store or use the promo code online to redeem.
TSLA said the cards are a teaser for a larger campaign set to roll out in the coming months, designed to shift the conversation from how well people sleep at night to what better sleep makes possible during the day. The greeting cards roll out today across Simmons’ Southeast Asia markets, optimised for sharing via Instagram.
The initiative comes as Simmons continues to deepen its partnership with The Secret Little Agency. Last month, the mattress pioneer reappointed the agency following a closed-door pitch, marking its second collaboration since launching Simmons’ Asia creative platform in 2011 with “The definition of sleep”.
The new remit spans integrated channels across Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, leveraging TSLA’s regional network of strategic, creative and production partners.
