Meta is bringing back Facebook Creator Studio, reintroducing the platform as an AI-powered companion app designed to help creators grow their audiences, manage communities and streamline content workflows.

The new Creator Studio is currently being developed with a small group of creators ahead of a wider rollout, with Meta also opening a waitlist for early access.

According to the company, the standalone app is built around AI from the ground up, allowing it to personalise recommendations based on a creator's audience, content style and goals.

The platform will surface daily priorities such as post performance, progress towards growth targets and comments that require attention. Creators will also receive tailored recommendations, content ideas, trend insights and guidance on improving reach, engagement and monetisation.

Alongside this, Meta has integrated its creator assistant throughout the app, enabling creators to ask questions about their content, brainstorm ideas and receive personalised advice without leaving the interface.

Community management is also receiving an AI upgrade. Creator Studio includes an AI-powered comment management tool that identifies priority comments and drafts replies in a creator's writing style. Users will be able to review and edit responses before publishing them.

Separately, Meta is revamping its creator tools within Facebook itself. Over the coming months, the existing Professional Dashboard will be split into two dedicated experiences: Creator Dashboard and Business Dashboard. According to Meta, the move is intended to provide more tailored tools for each user group rather than a shared interface.

The Creator Dashboard will remain the central hub for creator tools and analytics, while Meta is also bringing more creator features from Meta Business Suite into its desktop experience. Recent additions include a content calendar for planning and scheduling posts, bulk video uploads and expanded analytics, with further updates planned.

Meta said the changes are aimed at giving creators the flexibility to either manage their work within the Facebook app or through a dedicated standalone experience focused solely on content creation.

The latest updates build on Meta's broader push to strengthen its creator ecosystem on Facebook. Earlier this year, the company launched its "Creator fast track" programme, offering eligible creators increased reach on Reels and up to three months of guaranteed monthly payouts to encourage established creators from platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube to grow their presence on Facebook.

Under the programme, creators with at least 100,000 followers can receive up to US$1,000 per month, while those with more than one million followers may earn as much as US$3,000 monthly. Participants also gain immediate access to Facebook's content monetisation tools, allowing them to continue generating revenue beyond the programme period.
