Dutch Lady Milk Industries (DLMI) has appointed Yashashri Vatve (pictured left) as its new marketing director in Malaysia, following the departure of Imun Lim (pictured right) at the end of 2025.

Lim spent three and a half years with DLMI, having joined the company in July 2022. Prior to this, she was commercial and marketing director at Arnott’s Group Malaysia. Her earlier roles include over four years at Munchy’s as general manager for marketing, as well as two and a half years at Samsung Electronics, where she headed digital appliances marketing.

Vatve stepped into her new role in January and will report to Veronika Utami, managing director of DLMI. She joins the dairy brand from L’Oréal Malaysia, where she served as marketing director for more than two and a half years.

She brings with her deep FMCG experience, having spent over 15 years at Nestlé India. Vatve began her career there as a management trainee, rising through the ranks to manage key portfolios under MAGGI. She later took on the role of category marketing manager for NESCAFÉ before relocating to Malaysia.

Upon moving to Kuala Lumpur, Vatve led market business strategy for MAGGI’s special projects, before going on to head marketing and digital for the instant noodles category.

In a LinkedIn post shared late last year, Vatve reflected on the end of her 2.5 year journey at L’Oréal, noting that she was closing the chapter on a high. During her tenure, she worked on initiatives including CGI-led storytelling and influencer content campaigns. “Grateful for the trust, the people, and a meaningful way to close this chapter, excited to continue innovating and pushing boundaries in what comes next,” she wrote.

Dutch Lady Milk Industries is the Malaysian operating company and subsidiary of FrieslandCampina. DLMI produces a broad portfolio of dairy products, including Dutch Lady children’s formula, ready-to-drink milk, Friso Gold formula, as well as professional milk solutions for the foodservice industry.

The leadership update comes amid broader changes across FrieslandCampina’s regional and global operations. In September 2025, A+M reported that the dairy group had appointed Publicis Media to handle integrated strategic media buying and planning for its subsidiary brands globally, following a competitive pitch. Publicis was selected for its track record in delivering innovative media solutions and its understanding of global market dynamics.

Closer to home, FrieslandCampina veteran Bastiaan de Clercq also exited the organisation in March after more than 13 years, taking on the role of president and head of marketing at Domino's Pizza covering Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia. Prior to his departure, de Clercq was head of digital and media for Dutch Lady Malaysia.
