Dettol and PARKnSHOP turn purchases into protection for families

Reckitt's hygiene brand Dettol has teamed up with PARKnSHOP for the "You buy, we donate – protecting every home with cleanliness" (你買我捐 用潔淨守護每個家) campaign, rallying brands, consumers, and communities to embed good hygiene habits into daily life, from household routines to early childhood education.
The collaboration comes as many grassroots families in Hong Kong continue to live in resource-scarce environments, where hygiene needs are often overlooked, and young children in particular lack proper hygiene education as a result. To address this, Reckitt Hong Kong will donate Dettol home and personal hygiene products to families in need, supporting their daily household hygiene requirements.
At the same time, the campaign will reach out to kindergartens to promote early childhood hygiene education, extending hygiene awareness into children's growth and learning environments. The initiative aims to benefit over 20,000 young children, continuously creating a healthier living environment for the community.
Under the campaign, for every HK$50 or more spent on Dettol products at any PARKnSHOP, FUSION, TASTE, FOOD PARC, GREAT, or PNS online shopping store across Hong Kong, Dettol will donate HK$1 worth of its home and personal hygiene products.
These products will be distributed to those in need through partner organisation the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (家福會), helping them easily maintain household hygiene and protect their families' daily health. The programme is expected to benefit over 2,000 families. Through the "You buy, we donate" scheme, consumers can turn every purchase into a tangible act of community support while safeguarding their own family's health, extending hygiene awareness to every corner of the community.
Beyond material donations, Dettol has been committed to promoting hygiene education and integrating hygiene awareness into everyday family and school life. This year, Dettol will invite families in need, through the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society, to participate in the "Home and personal hygiene mini-challenge" (家居及個人衞生小挑戰), where parents and children can practise good hygiene habits through daily records and completing a series of home and personal hygiene tasks.
Upon completion of the designated challenges, each participating family will receive a one-year supply of Dettol home and personal hygiene products. Dettol aims to encourage parents and children to establish regular household and personal hygiene routines together, raising public awareness of hygiene and health.
Meanwhile, for Global Handwashing Day (全球洗手日) on 15 October, Dettol will distribute mini wet wipes, hand hygiene products, PARKnSHOP vouchers, and hygiene education booklets to over 100 kindergartens, helping young children develop proper hygiene habits from an early age and building a healthier Hong Kong community.
Stella Chun, general manager of Reckitt Hong Kong & Taiwan, said: "Reckitt has always been committed to bringing quality hygiene protection to all levels of the community, so that everyone, every family, and every community can enjoy healthier lives. This year, we are once again partnering with PARKnSHOP Supermarket to leverage its extensive community network and daily consumer touchpoints to bring hygiene products, educational information, and support to more families - making hygiene education not just about awareness, but truly integrated into daily life.”
“Through the 'You buy, we donate – protecting every home with cleanliness' initiative, we hope to unite the power of consumers and turn everyday spending into tangible support for families in need. We firmly believe that improving community hygiene requires participation from all sectors of society, and every seemingly small choice has the potential to bring about greater positive change for the community,” Chun added.
