Italian tech and media company Cognitive AI is continuing its global expansion with the launch of a new office in Singapore, appointing Rohan Lightfoot as its CEO to lead operation across the Asia-Pacific region.
With its APAC entry, Cognitive AI will bring the region an innovative approach to digital media buying by combining its proprietary Persistent ID with advanced artificial intelligence algorithms. This technology delivers deep, actionable consumer insights that power more effective programmatic campaigns, said the company in a statement seen by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.
The company’s cookieless, long-term tracking system analyses audience buying patterns and mental habits in granular detail, mapping consumer journeys in real time. By integrating Cognitive's tools into the world’s leading demand-side and supply-side platforms, brands and agencies gain access to these insights at scale.

Commenting on the launch, Rohan Lightfoot, CEO of Cognitive AI APAC, said: “I’m thrilled to be leading the launch of Cognitive AI in APAC. Brands and agencies across the region are investing more of their marketing dollars programmatically and it’s really important that they work with best-in-class players in the field."
"We recently undertook market research with clients, agencies and independents in the region, and less than ten percent of the people we surveyed were very confident that their programmatic media was optimised effectively. At the same time, more than eighty percent of the survey said they’d be willing to test alternatives," he added.
Lightfoot also said it is the perfect time for Cognitive AI to launch in Asia Pacific as he looks forward to helping brands and businesses across the region grow faster as they embrace a programmatic future.
In tandem, Francesca Grilli, managing director at Cognitive AI, added “The APAC market stands out as a centre of excellence in the digital marketing landscape, and Cognitive is entering this space by bringing its strong innovative capabilities in targeting and media optimisation within programmatic advertising."
"Our solutions have proven to be valuable for advertisers across Europe and South America, and we are confident they will empower brands in the region to thrive and achieve outstanding results. We are excited to embark on this new journey alongside Lightfoot, a highly respected professional with deep experience in the market," stated Grilli.
AI-enhanced adtech and performance marketing is gaining momentum in the region, with major agencies increasingly forming AI-focused partnerships. In April, Naga DDB Tribal teamed up with Replyr.ai to integrate AI into marketing automation and lead conversion workflows.
Meanwhile, performance marketing powerhouses such as Publicis Media China have recently undergone strategic reshuffles andlaunched new AI-led “omni performance” frameworks, reflecting strong regional interest in intelligent programmatic optimisation.
