Chow Tai Fook has launched its first Australian store, marking a key step in the Hong Kong-based luxury group’s global expansion strategy.

The Sydney debut forms part of a broader brand transformation aimed at strengthening Chow Tai Fook’s position as a modern luxury player while maintaining its heritage in craftsmanship and design.

The group operates more than 5,000 stores globally and has been expanding across key international markets including Canada, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan.

Located at Westfield Sydney alongside global luxury fashion houses, the new store signals a deliberate push into premium retail environments.

The space features the brand’s signature “Timeless red” façade, paired with contemporary design and refined oriental aesthetics. Inside, black walnut finishes and champagne-gold accents create a more understated luxury setting, with a dedicated VIP lounge offering private consultations and personalised service.

Sonia Cheng, vice-chairman of Chow Tai Fook, said the opening reflects the next phase of the brand’s international growth.

“The opening of our first store in Australia marks a milestone for Chow Tai Fook as a step further in the brand transformation journey, bringing our rich heritage and craftsmanship to the world. Sydney’s vibrant cultural landscape and appreciation for timeless aesthetic make it the perfect home for our debut in this region. The Australia launch follows the recent opening of the group’s flagship on Canton Road in Hong Kong, a 10,000 square foot space designed to deliver a more immersive retail experience.

The flagship also introduced the HOME Collection, Chow Tai Fook’s first luxury lifestyle line, as part of a broader push to expand beyond traditional jewellery and deepen customer engagement through retail experience.
