Central Cee turns Premier League feels into Coca-Cola’s latest track

Coca-Cola Zero Sugar has teamed up with British rapper Central Cee to soundtrack its latest Premier League campaign, turning the emotions of football fandom into an original track.

Titled "The team", the song forms part of Coca-Cola's new "Taste every second" campaign and aims to capture the highs and lows of following a Premier League club, from pre-season optimism and match-day nerves to heartbreak and end-of-season euphoria.

The track, produced by P-rallel, was released on streaming platforms on 18 August under Central Cee's Live Yours label, Columbia Records and Coca-Cola's real thing records. The drinks brand launched real thing records in 2025 as part of its push deeper into music and entertainment.

Central Cee also stars in a two-minute campaign film for "Taste every second", which follows the emotional journey of fans across a Premier League season. Beginning with the anticipation surrounding pre-season, the film moves through the drama and tension of the campaign before reaching the final day.

The partnership taps into Central Cee's crossover influence across music, fashion and youth culture, as well as his connection to football. Beyond the track and campaign film, Coca-Cola is extending "Taste every second" into retail and fan activations throughout the season.

Limited-edition packs will roll out at selected retailers from August, with QR codes giving consumers access to football-related prizes, custom items and collectibles.

The campaign comes as Coca-Cola looks to build on its role as the Premier League's official soft drink partner by positioning itself around the rituals and emotions of football fandom, rather than simply the matches themselves.

Central Cee said that while he has always had a love for football, his skills on the pitch are unlikely to earn him a place in the starting eleven. Nonetheless, he described creating the track for Coca-Cola as an honour.

He added, "The crowd energy when I perform live, I feel like that's the closest feeling to what it must be like walking out on the pitch. That energy is what 'The team' is about. Football’s a religion for some people and this song captures that – the sample says 'ride or die', the lyrics say unconditional love."

The campaign follows Coca-Cola's FIFA World Cup 26 push in June, when the brand unveiled "No better feeling", the final instalment of its three-part global "Feel it all" platform.

The film similarly centred on the emotional experience of football fandom rather than gameplay alone. Positioned as a cinematic love letter to fans, it followed the emotional arc of a match and used VAR decisions as a narrative device to build tension and drama.
