Canva has unveiled its first-ever AI-focused brand campaign in Indonesia, enlisting singer and television personality King Nassar to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can help Indonesians overcome creative barriers and bring their ideas to life.
Launched ahead of World MSME Day on 27 June, the campaign, titled "NyatAIn di Canva", reflects Canva's broader push to make creativity more accessible for professionals, educators, entrepreneurs and everyday users across Indonesia.
Canva said its AI-powered tools are designed to remove common obstacles that often prevent people from translating ideas into finished work, whether through generating content from prompts, accelerating design workflows or simplifying the creative process.

At the heart of the campaign is a film featuring three familiar scenarios: an office worker struggling to complete a report, a teacher seeking to make lessons more engaging, and a small business owner wanting to stand out but unsure where to begin. The narrative draws on a feeling many Indonesians can relate to - creative paralysis, depicted as a "power outage" inspired by Nassar's popular song Seperti Mati Lampu.
As pressure mounts in each scenario, Nassar appears in his signature humorous style to showcase how Canva AI can help users move from uncertainty to action.
"More often than not, the biggest challenge is simply getting started. We have ideas, but we do not always know where to begin," said Nassar.
"What I like about Canva is its ability to make the creative process feel much easier and less overwhelming. With the help of AI, people can spend less time overthinking and more time bringing their ideas to life. I hope this campaign encourages more people to start creating and experience for themselves how easily Canva can support that process."

Stefanie Herlie, country manager Indonesia at Canva, said the company's AI tools are intended to support the ambitions that already exist among Indonesian users.
"Indonesians have always had the ambition to build something, grow something, and become better," she said.
"Canva AI is here to support those ambitions. It helps bring existing visions to life in a way that is faster, more confident, and tailored to users' needs. That is the essence of NyatAIn di Canva: turning ambition into reality."
The benefits manifest differently across user groups. A product manager can transform rough concepts into polished presentations, a teacher can quickly create engaging lesson plans and classroom resources through Canva Education, while a small business owner can develop professional marketing materials and compelling copy - all powered by Canva AI.
The campaign will roll out across national television channels including RCTI, MNCTV, GTV, SCTV, Indosiar, Trans TV, Trans7 and ANTV, alongside digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Meta's ecosystem. Out-of-home placements will also appear in Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya, supported by creator partnerships, media engagement initiatives and community activations nationwide.

The launch comes as Canva continues to deepen its presence in Indonesia, one of its fastest-growing markets. According to the company, Indonesians created more than one billion designs on Canva during 2025 alone, spanning educational materials, business presentations, marketing campaigns and social media content.
Beyond its commercial activities, Canva has also expanded collaborations with public-sector and educational organisations, including Indonesia's ministry of primary and secondary education, ministry of creative economy and ministry of communication and digital affairs, as part of efforts to broaden access to digital skills, creativity and technology across the country.
As Indonesia's digital economy continues to expand, Canva said it remains focused on empowering more people to create, communicate and turn ideas into reality through design and AI-powered tools.
