
Budget Direct adds a playful twist to ‘Insurance Solved’ platform

Budget Direct has launched the latest instalment of its award-winning ‘Insurance Solved’ campaign, rolling out a new TV spot titled Balloons via 303 MullenLowe.
The new work sees the brand’s insurance detectives back in action, this time rescuing a party gone wrong thanks to some carefully executed balloon-popping. The campaign is now live nationally across TV, cinema, BVOD, online, social, OOH and radio.
Bart Pawlak, chief creative officer of 303 MullenLowe Sydney, said the new spot marks a deliberate shift into a lighter tone for the long-running platform. “Based on Budget Direct’s consistent commercial performance, it’s fair to assume most Australians are familiar with the brand and its value proposition,” Pawlak said. “It’s increasingly important to surprise and delight with the way we deliver the Insurance Solved message. This latest spot is no exception.”
The Balloons campaign follows Budget Direct’s win of Money magazine’s ‘Best-Value Car Insurer for 2025’ - marking the insurer’s seventh consecutive year with the title.
Jonathan Kerr, chief growth officer at Budget Direct, said winning Money magazine’s Best-Value Car Insurer for a seventh year deserves an equally uplifting ad.
"We feel we have delivered on that quite beautifully in this delightful ad,” he said.
The Insurance Solved platform was recently recognised at the 2024 Australian Effies, where it picked up two Gold awards for Long Term Effects and Brand Value.
