Brookvale Union expands ‘Quality Nonsense’ platform

Brookvale Union is rolling out a new integrated summer campaign encouraging Australians to “Keep the Nonsense Flowing”, marking the latest evolution of the brand’s long-running Quality Nonsense platform.

The campaign spotlights key summer priorities across Brookvale Union’s portfolio, including Alcoholic Ginger Beer, Vodka Red Pub Soda and Vodka Pineapple Coconut, with creative designed to lean into the chaos and humour of summer entertaining.

Developed with creative agency Hello, the campaign launched with a hero film starring internet personality Tommy Armour, known as ‘egg man’, alongside comedian Lachy McIntyre. The film plays up the frivolity and oddity of backyard gatherings, staying true to Brookvale Union’s irreverent brand tone.

Hello executive creative director Dan Fryer said the work connects sport, summer and the brand’s playful positioning.

“Sport and summer have always gone hand in hand. But you also need your hands to hold onto your Brookies,” Fryer said. “So this summer, Brookvale Union kept their famous brand of nonsense flowing by creating the world’s first hands-free tennis racquet. First stop: the backyard totem tennis arena. Second stop: the 2026 Australian Open.”

Beyond the master brand work, the campaign includes behind-the-scenes content, talent cameos and an influencer-led spin-off series running across TikTok and Meta. The campaign will also extend into the Australian Open, where Brookvale Union is the official Ginger Beer of the tournament, with on-ground activations designed to surprise fans throughout the event.
