ALVA OLRANGE has appointed Afianto Makmun (pictured) as its new chief creative officer (CCO), marking a significant step in the agency’s next phase of creative transformation within the ALVA Digital Network and the broader Future Creative Network (FCN).

Makmun joins the agency from Accenture Song, where he held a senior creative leadership role, leading brand, experience, and transformation initiatives for both regional and global clients. His career spans creative development, technology-enabled marketing, and business transformation, positioning him to lead ALVA OLRANGE’s evolving creative mandate.

In his new role, Makmun will be responsible for defining and elevating the agency’s creative direction, with a focus on ideas that are not only distinctive but also built to perform across digital ecosystems. His remit includes strengthening creative quality, developing talent, and embedding a business-first approach to creativity underpinned by data, technology, and AI-enabled workflows.

A key priority will also be equipping creative teams with practical AI and emerging tools to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability, while preserving strong human judgment, cultural relevance, and craft.

“ALVA OLRANGE has a strong digital foundation and an agile culture. My focus is to help teams translate that into work that is sharper, faster to execute, and clearly connected to business outcomes, while continuing to explore new tools and creative possibilities responsibly,” said Makmun.

The appointment signals a new leadership chapter for ALVA OLRANGE following the completion of its previous leadership tenure under Erick Sebastian. The agency said it is strengthening its operating model to support sustainable growth, execution discipline, and long-term relevance within ALVA’s wider ecosystem.

“Afi brings a rare combination of creative leadership and technological fluency,” said FCN CEO Ivan Hadywibowo. “He will play a key role in shaping our next-generation agency model - starting with ALVA OLRANGE - one that is built for clarity, scalability, and speed of execution. This appointment is a critical step in how we continue to evolve as a network.”

Looking ahead, ALVA OLRANGE aims to scale creativity with clearer strategic intent under Makmun’s leadership, empowering talent through AI-enabled creative practices and delivering ideas designed to generate measurable business impact.
